It’s small, but pretty.

I was so excited to find a wreath that I could hang in the days between January and spring. I liked the simplicity of the cream “berries” (evocative of winter) and the green “eucalyptus” leaves (foretelling the green of spring) shown in the picture. Unfortunately, the product photo wasn’t quite like the product I received. First, the “berries” weren’t a creamy off-white. Although their color varied across the wreath, many sections are more akin to brownish shades—brownish-beige, brownish-cream, or brownish-gray. They are evocative of *muddy* snow and don’t produce anywhere near the pictured contrast with the leaves. Also, while the photo shows prominent berries in front of the leaves, my wreath has the berries mostly behind the leaves—many sections just peek out. I make my own wreathes, so I tried to gently manipulate the layers so that the berries—blah as they are—would be more visible. It soon became apparent that its construction meant that I’d have to dismantle the entire wreath and start from scratch—which sort of defeats the purpose of buying a wreath rather than making one. This wreath was a gift from someone who suffers from severe anxiety, and who doesn’t give gifts often because he’s worried that the recipient won’t like what he’s chosen or that something else will go wrong. He thought he couldn’t fail with this wreath, because I fell in love with the picture. Fortunately, he hasn’t noticed the difference between the picture and what I received, because he only glanced at the picture. The (unreturned) wreath will hang on my door because I don’t want to see the unhappy look on his face if I express my disappointment and return or exchange it.

The wreath I received was very true to the images and I'm quite happy with it. The berries are a little more obviously shiny/plastic than I prefer, but that was easy to remedy by spraying the whole thing with a bit of dry shampoo. Lovely!

Even prettier than the picture of it, with the berries more in detail. The symmetry is very good, with just enough leaves to offset the quantity of berries, and both are full and easily arranged, and of excellent quality. The wreath's neutral tone is ideal for these winter days and adds a pleasant warmth to my back door entry hall where my family and friends enter. Completely satisfied!

The wreath I received was not quite as full as what’s pictured here, however I think the product is overall attractive in terms of the colors and materials used. You can manipulate the leaves a little to help with the appearance of fullness.
