This pencil skirt is a thicker, stretchy material, and it is pretty form-fitting. There is a small slit in the back. It is simple and functional, although my biggest complaint is I am constantly pulling it down because it wants to creep up my waist and legs. It hits right about at mid/top knee on me (I am 5' 7"), so it's borderline if you're looking for something at or below the knees. It feels like good quality material. Unless you're a twig, or you're wearing some good shapewear, this skirt is likely to show an "extra curve" you may want to keep hidden. That being said, the skirt is very well constructed and feels good. Looks very nice paired with a nice silky blouse!
