  • Durability Technology Upper made with Bluesign RipStop textile, 100% recycled and GRS certified PET polyester textile and Protective PU mudguard. A versatile material using a reinforcing technique that makes Ivalo3 BUGrip winter walking boot more resistant to tearing and ripping.
  • Sustainability is the most important thing we do Sustainability highlights: -Upper is made of bluesign, solution dyed and 100% recycled GRS certified PET polyester. The GORE-TEX Insulated Comfort lining meets the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX.- The Milspeed inner heel and toe reinforcements are made of 60% recycled plastic, out of which 11-12% are recycled nylon fishing nets. The BUGrip outsole contains 20% recycled rubber.

I bought this boot on the recommendation of a friend. I hoped it would work for winter hiking and have worn it for several hikes in the snow. I like that it is a sturdy, warm boot. The traction is good. The arrangement of the studs makes it possible to wear gaiters. I dislike the lacing system and tongue. The boot is stiff and it uses loops not hooks. It is difficult to get a snug fit in the boot. Even when I replaced the laces with first flat and then nonslip laces it was tricky getting the boot snug. The tongue is short. When the boot is laced tight, the lace has a tendency to slip over the top of the tongue. Changing the lacing pattern alleviated this issue, but it's again difficult because the boot uses loops not hooks in the lacing system. ... show more

They are warm and light weight. They are great on ice. A bit pricey, if they last 5 years it's worth it. Will see how they hold up. They can not be worn inside on hard surfaces or you will eat it. I am considering buying the overshoes but for the price I might just only use these for walks and hikes which means bringing an extra pair of boots if I plan on driving or going in anywhere...that's a bit annoying. ... show more
