These shoes are very lightweight and I think good for kicking around the house, or use when you're not really exerting yourself. Due to the elastic-style lacing system, they are not snug on your feet, even if you try to cinch them down. I wouldn't run in them. (The description and title call them "Walking Shoes," and that's definitely what they are. The tread is not deep, but apparently the rubber helps keep you from sliding around on icy surfaces. Where I live, we don't get many of those, but my son will try that feature out this winter. My feet are quite long and narrow and getting them to fit required quite a bit of messing with the lacing. On the other hand, my son slipped them on and was perfectly happy. I thought the "top and bottom" routing of the elastic lace was odd (photo), so I removed and re-ran the elastic in a more traditional pattern with both ends at the opening of the shoe. I think the shoes are well made and as long as the elastic is OK with you and the style works for you, I'd recommend them. Note that the shoes' uppers are mesh, so they're not keeping your feet warm in the ice and show, nor are they keeping your feet dry. Not a criticism, just a reminder.

These shoes felt incredibly comfortable right out of the box with a first time wear. The sizing they use seems very accurate. There is plenty of cushion, right up there with some of my Sketchers shoes which are known for their cushioning. The main shoe is made from a breathable fabric and I felt the black ones I got looked fantastic. I might have gone with white laces instead of black but hey, to each their own. There is one drawback here but it is getting better over time. Right out of the box they had a strong smell. Best way I could describe it was like a large eraser. Like a strong rubber smell of the eraser. It's not like any shoe I have ever had before. I wonder if this might have something to do with the fact they they are using all recycled materials. Each I have had these, which has been about 3-4 days now, the smell is getting less and less. My hope that over time it will go away completely. My advice is to take the shoes out of the box and let them sit in the open air for several days before going out in public with this. I love what Icebug is doing here with these shoes by using to much recycled material including recycled fishing nets! So while that smell issue I mentioned before might deter you from buying, and keep in mind it's getting less and less, I would still recommend them because of their comfort, greta looks and their high use of recycled material. Sure they cost a premium but I'm sure that has a lot to do with the process of using recycled material. At least for me I don't mind paying a bit more buying from a Earth conscious company. I think everyone can agree we need more companies trying to do their part for the environment.!

I love that I was able to get my actual size without feeling like I needed to go up a half size because of the width. These are some of the only shoes I've ever worn that checked all of the boxes I was looking for in a daily comfort shoe. Stylish - comfortable - slightly wider without looking like wide shoes - lightweight - not cheap feeling - came with elastic laces. I was kind of uncertain at first because I never heard of the brand, but now they got me. Great shoes.

Been wearing them for about 9 days now. I deliver things and am in them walking/driving about 7 hours a day (plus standing around for another few) so they get their use. I was weary of the fit when I purchased it as the site lists MEN 12/WOMEN 11.5 and I was like NO they aren't the same. Wonder what I am going to get. Well, they fit my feet perfectly, even a little roomy, and I am a men's 12 (preferably 12.5) and am very happy with this fit. The look good, the padding in the sole is excellent (was worried I might have to add an insole, definitely don't need to), and they look good. The only negative thing I can say is I am used to being able to slip on my shoes and with these I have to actually sit down and pull them onto my feet. Given how wonderful they make my feet feel it is well worth it. I think I may buy another color to have, these are so great.

I am a size 7 and ordered these in the size listed as " 6-7.5 Women/6-7.5 Men". The resulting fit is perfect. They fit with enough room for a regular sock and some breathing space - in other words, they fit like a regular size 7. There was a size chart on the Amazon page that was inaccurate, so I'd recommend anyone reading this to go to REI's website and use the size chart they provide for their Icebug shoes. I used that chart to make my size selection. These shoes are unlike any other shoe - from the sole, to the upper, to the style, to the inner molding and of course, the lacing system - this shoe will captivate you. Its comfortable, lightweight, minimalist and attractive. Foot doesn't slide forward to jam my toes into the front like it does with most shoes, which makes for ten happy little campers. Very natural molding in the footbed. I under pronate and these are perfect for me. Fabric upper is simple yet attractive. Great summer shoe. Then there's the elastic cord lacing system. Just slip these on and slip them off. If needed, untie and retie the knot at the ends so that it gives you more or less tension. Simple. EFFECTIVE. Durable, comfortable, versatile, and sustainable. These Icebugs are something else. Love 'em.

I work in the animal health industry, so I like to get shoes without laces. I came across these and really loved the slip on aspect as well as the non-slip sole. My work involves a lot of cleaning and mopping, so I come across wet floors on a daily basis. I can say I feel very secure in these shoes on wet floors. All the materials used to make these shoes all seem to be great quality. The tops of the shoes are breathable, but seem sturdy. The sizing was a little strange for me, but I do have to say it they are true to size. I chose my exact size range and they fit perfectly. I believe they do this because the laces have no way to be really tightened. Overall, great shoes, would recommend.
