I would say it feels a bit "itchier" than smartwool when you first put it on, but the difference is minuscule and within two minutes you forget about it. The cut is good, sizing is spot on. Does well in washing machine on hand washing cycle in cold water. I always line dry them, never put them in dryer. Noticed no pilling or shrinking after several wear. I have also a 260 when it is really cold, but during normal winter times, a 200 sublayer of merino under any normal clothes and I don't think about the cold once. Changed my life. It's lightweight and not bulky so I can put them on underneath my shirts without a problem. Sometimes I wear it as a shirt and it looks good. Plus it keeps you warm!! I would buy more if I continue traveling to colder places.
