Ok, first off - yes, it works. With that being said, the pictures are misleading. The lid is NOT that firm and stable...it is basically flimsy plastic wrap with a drawstring. The tub does hold water with no issue, and stays cold as long as you get in very quickly after adding ice. With that said, the instructions recommend indoor use in a bathroom yet photos show it being used outside. If you are looking for an affordable ice bath option, this will get the job done but keep your expectations appropriately set. UPDATE: I felt this should be added…the customer service for this product is exceptional and they were very responsive and went above and beyond to ensure satisfaction. We are happy to have this tub and chose it because it offered a higher side than other tubs. It was very easy to put together. Being taller than average we wanted to make sure that we got a full experience with the ice bath and this tub lets us sit inside it allowing the water to come up to our shoulders while it is wide enough to let us sit cross legged inside without feeling cramped. This ice bath is a nice portable size that does not take up a lot of space. It is easy to assemble with plastic pvc support poles to give it structure. There is a pump for inflating the circumference along the top for added comfort for your back/neck. It comes with a water filled cushion you can sit on for comfort if you wish, but I think I prefer not to use it. There is drain spot for removing the water. The cover is thin but it does the job of keeping debris out. You do need to have a method of making enough ice to make the water cold enough. This was easy to set up and use. The inside is made of rubber material like an inner tube., and the outer shell is fabric. There are several polls that you place around the outside for sturdiness. And there is a valve to let water out. The top Rim is inflatable making it more comfortable.
