I used the IBOSAD Copper Tube Fittings Hydraulic Pipe Crimping Tool to redo the plumbing in my bathroom, and it worked surprisingly well. With 1/2”, 3/4”, and 1” jaws included, it handles common copper pipe sizes and proved to be a practical addition to my toolbox. After battling a leak for weeks finally got fixed. 😜 Tried solder and shark bites, and, compression fittings all with same result! Shipping was quick, arrived as described. The tool does appear better quality than expected for the price. However, far better then the price, to have a contractor to come in to do the repairs for around $1,200. And that of the commercial tools upwards to 500-800. It's slightly on the bulky side, but not no more than the other, a high end tools. Found it pretty user friendly, and perfect for the DYI handyman. After knowing a few friends that has gone with PEX, and have had issues. I wanted to stay with copper. However, due only having an 1 1/2". From the T joint work with. I was unable to get solder to take because water so close trapped in the main line. Tried Shark Bits still had a leak. Tried a compression fitting, and still leaked. So for the price and overall quality extremely happy & definitely would recommend.

This ProPress tool is an amazing value. It works just like a professional ProPress tool, except it's manual instead of electric. Everything is precisely machined and the individual jaws are a huge upgrade over cheaper manual press tools as they are more durable and fit into tighter spaces. It takes less than a minute of pumping to make a connection and I had no leaks whatsoever.

For $177 this is an amazing value. I would love to have an electric cordless unit, but cannot justify the price at over 10 times more. I chose this one because it has the full separate heads for each size (1/2”, 3/4”, 1”) like the pro units, not inserts
Pros:
- Just installed a Moen Flo device. Made 18 Press connections, used all 3 sizes, with no leaks at 70psi - Tool is a beast. With an attached head it weighs about 7lbs.
- Makes crimps connections nicely (a bit of a workout, but quite doable) - Other size and types of heads are available - The included pipe cutter and deburring tools are also very good Cons:
- Need some space to work the tools - it could be difficult in tight spaces - Pumping the unit is a bit of a workout and takes more time than a cordless tool - Need to be careful of where to place the tool on tee’s, etc. For occasional DIY use - get this unit!

So far I've only used this tool to make 1/2 connections, but all connections have been solid with no leaks. The benefit to this model compared with other is the jaws fully swap out for each size, which makes it work more like the power operated propress tools. Some other models use a single set of jaws with a die that you have to swap out depending on the connection size. Making a fully compressed fitting does take a decent amount of force but nothing too bad, at least on the 1/2" fittings.
