Description

The cutting edge of Ibanez design, the S series continues to be a marvel of form and function. Its signature body shape - sculpted, lightweight, and mahogany - is stronger and more musically responsive than guitars weighing twice as much. The S series is still a rock 'n' roll version of a quick, graceful, and potentially lethal weapon. The Quantum pickups provide accelerated bass response for exceptionally fast tracking of high-speed staccato riffing with crushing mid range and precise high-end articulation.

  • It’s a very nice instrument.
It’s lightweight which I personally love. I hate working with big monstrosities. The neck is wide, easy to strum chords. The sound is great to me and it’s beautiful. Someone indicated this is not a legitimate Ibanez. I can assure you that it is. I bought the warranty and registered my purchase on the Ibanez website using my model and serial number and received a confirmation. ... show more

  • Amazing guitar!
My very first guitar so I was nervous to buy this. But the color is beautiful, more vibrant in person than the picture suggests. Came brand new with original tags and box. Not a thick body which is exactly what I wanted, with some weight, feels very high quality. Also this guitar is currently backordered on guitar center site. Got this guitar in 3 days ... show more

  • Disappointed
I am an Ibanez fan. This is my 5th Ibanez guitar. Of the 20 guitars in my collection, I reach for an Ibanez the vast majority of the time. HOWEVER, I cut my finger on the fret edge right after picking it up for the first time. The fret craftsmanship is absolutely disappointing for a name like Ibanez. ... show more

  • Best 400$ guitar out there
I love a lot about this guitar. Pros: It is light. the neck is fast. It Never goes out of tune. It sounds amazing, full tones. Its so easy to play. Easy to String and Tune. Packaging was great. Cons. Knobs feel slightly sticky but its VERY minor. If you are into dive/whammy bars sorry, spend a little more on a GEM or a RG But I love this guitar i keep comin back, HIGHLY recommend for beginners to intermediate players looking to grow and see if guitar is something they are really into before dropping thousands on a pro GEM, Strat, or LP ... show more

  • Great right out of the box.
Not a starter guitar. Excellent right out of the box. You will not be disappointed unless you are looking for a floating bridge. I must say it has sustain but although the body is thin, it still has weight. The color is super nice. Best purchase made.

  • Maybe just unlucky.... or sold a refurbished guitar described as "new"
Took a hot minute to get here via USPS, which in itself is nerve racking considering USPS doesn't exactly handle packages like kid gloves (probably cheapest way to deliver for the seller to make a profit idk?) The nut looks like it's been replaced and used too much glue as you can see in the picture how it's overflowing into the fret board. Right below the tuners there are three indentations/grooves in the wood possibly when they refurbished it this was where the guitar was held in place. Input jack is missing paint and has saw dust or some left-over compound in it (this personally doesn't bother me out of sight out of mind, but most likely could have an effect on the pickup) Lastly the volume and tune controls were incredible crooked or off centered....??? They worked but man what a terrible eye sore as if they were screwed in on an angle or missed the grooves?? All and all I'll be returning this for a refund, who knows maybe I was just unlucky and got a badly manufactured guitar from them... but other things seem a bit iffy like I was trying to be sold a refurbished guitar at a new guitar price. Things I don't really mind there is no "S series" label on the head (even though the picture for the item has "S series" on the head) and the fret board was extremely dark... like darker than rosewood almost artificial but that could be my imagination. ... show more

  • Be careful when buying guitars online
Great overall only issue I had was the crack by the neck from shipping but other than that plays great
