  • Pleasantly Surprised! 5/5
Thrilled to receive this item not only in perfect condition but ahead of schedule. 🤘 I have never bought a guitar online but decided to take a chance bc this 7 string priced at $250 is an absolute steal. Perfect for a beginner/intermediate level player who plays as a hobby. However, this guitar is gig worthy and looks fantastic. IMO Ibanez has cornered the market with reasonably priced guitars of quality. My first 6 string RG bought 30 years ago which I still play today with mods of course. Taken care of, these guitars last. Back the the review… Def apprehensive bc it is not sold with a case for protection. However, package received, the guitar is packed well and wrapped. Total plus. I may buy a mid grade case in a few weeks. Perfect condition not one ding or dent. Paint job. Perfect, smooth and polished. All frets are filed. No sharp edges. Intonation and tuning perfect to BEADGBE no buzz. Tuning keys no give. Perfectly smooth when turned. The pickups are actually ok for stock. Fine for out of the box but I am confident this guitar can be upgraded down the line as I hotrodded my first Ibanez with Seymour Duncan’s way back when with ease. I decided to tune down to ADGCFAD. I like low and melodic notes and tones. Surprisingly not as much buzz as I thought I was going to get. With a slight trus adjustment can be worked out. I highly reco this guitar. I like the GIO series for the money. I own guitars with Floyd Rose. If I feel like it, I will consider the UNIVERSE series. I must say I am thrilled to have this guitar that can be tuned quickly without the fuss of a trem system. A huge reason why this guitar has many many 4.5-5 star reviews and the stock is low. I was waiting for a while and finally was able to get one. One of my better Amazon purchases. Play on 🤘 ... show more

  • Fantastic guitar for the price point.
Easily the best electric 7-string I could find under $600. Playability - 9/10 - Good neck and frets. Very playable. Weight - 9/10 - Light enough for extended playing. Durability - 8/10 - Solid construction. The tuners, pick-up switch, and dials are of decent quality and fairly sturdy. Set-up - 10/10 - Came from the factory well-intonated and with the strings at just the right height over the fretboard. Pick-ups - 7/10 - Not the greatest, but not terrible. Especially for this price. Overall in general - 8/10 Overall for the price - 9.5/10 ... show more

  • Insane quality. Buy this guitar
The media could not be loaded. I bought this thing expecting it to be alright at best. This thing plays better than my type E Solar and plays up to standard with my ESP Phoenix. The neck is smooth, the strings never get that dull sound that cheap guitars usually get, the pickups are good, frets don't slice your hand open, no tuning issues, came out the box intonated. I had the factory strings on for 5 months before i changed them, and it wasn't even because they sounded dull. This guitar is a workhorse and ibanez rules the cheap guitar market. ... show more

  • Fantastic sound and build!
I was amazed at the build quality at this price point. I played on RG Ibanez 7 strings and this actually was built just as well as the 500 dollar versions. the only slight drawback being the pickups low end not being as crisp. And to mention the intonation was set perfectly from factory so props ibanez! ... show more

  • It’s a great guitar to mess around on
Mine had a dead first fret, I have to mess with the truss rod but for now it’s really fun to play. The neck SLIGHTLY bends if you’re playing kind of aggressively but it stays in tune very well.

  • It plays well
The packing wasn't very good but the guitar itself is a new fav. I have 10 guitars ranging upto 1700 dollars on the top end and even this one for the price is such a deal. 10/10

  • As guitars go, this is as good as it gets
No fancy paint job no fancy trim but it’s a bare bones guitar. It’s debatable whether the material that the body is made out of really has any impact on the sound. But the electronics are the top line arrangement The pickups themselves could be debated but I don’t feel with my limitations they are anyway inferior. You can pay hundreds more for the paint and trim depending on how important it is for you. ... show more

  • With some work it's great!
Mine had fret buzz on the first fret, . After some trust rod adjustment I was able to get the strings off the frets. Overall I'm pretty happy with it. Simple and it has 5 way switch, great first 7 string guitar with some work needed.
