I was looking for a bass to noodle around with, I have been playing Gibson Les Paul's for years and had reservations on a cheap model shipped through the mail. On the advise of a recording engineer and a Professor of music @ WSU, who both suggested Ibanez's 200 series, I felt their advise was worth taking. I was surprised the Bass (5 string) showed up early, in great condition and best of all in tune. Intonation was on, and no fret buzz. The tone is great and the bass is frankly a pleasure to play. I primarily play heavy oriented material: however, Mo-Town, Tupac, Zepplin, Korn all sound great. I paired this with an 50W Orange Amplifier and foot petal and it rips. You virtually can't go wrong with this entry-level instrument. Finally, it just looks amazing, great finish and the wood grain is beautiful. ... show more

Surprise Surprise, this bass impressed me in all aspects, the neck is thing like my short scale 4s-fender, it came in almost perfect intonation, just the low B had to be adjusted a bit , the mahogany light/dark colors impressed me the most its just pretty, am glad didnt went for the black , very happy with my purchase, package came in perfect condition ! ... show more

Wellllll how do I start, I picked up the bass again (years ago I sold a 5 string Ibanez and I missed it.) Felt like replacing it and came across this deal. HELL OF A DEAL, by the way! The media could not be loaded. I have loved and owned a few other Ibanez basses in my life. This one is THE most beautiful piece so far! And someone did an EXCELLENT set up job on it before shipping it! I mean, out of the BOX, it was immediately THE best playing bass I've ever owned!!
