Been playing for 30 years and always wanted a 12 string. With prices this low figured why not. Ordered this and it showed up quickly. Very nice right out the box. The small G string popped on me and took an .010 string from a pile of them I have and tried that, popped that one too. Tried it again and it came right in tune. After that it took a few days for the strings to stop drifting out of tune and are now pretty solid. I play it daily and its a great player. This is one of those guitars you can just get lost in noodling. Plugged it up to my amp and it sounded great. No fret buzz and the neck plays easy. The built in tuner is a nice feature too. If you always wanted a 12 string acoustic/electric then this one is worth considering. It really is a beautiful guitar. ... show more

I bought this guitar for my son to replace my twenty year old Takamine 12 string that he had been playing for the last five years. From my son's point of view, the guitar is easy to play for a 12 string. The onboard tuner is an upgrade from the older guitar because it also shows the battery life. It's also easy to read. The sound quality is bright and has a higher register. It is smaller than the Takamine. He said the fretboard was high quality. As for looks, it's a beautiful guitar. It's sleek and elegant. I needed an inexpensive 12 string for gigs. We are a rock band that does a few acoustic involved covers (Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi, for example). I have some very nice, more expensive acoustics that I get nervous about getting knocked over on the stand, so I sought something of quality but somewhat "disposable" in case of an accident. I got way more than I bargained for with the Ibanez. They are still one of the best guitars for the money at any playing level. I did have to make some adjustments for tuning, but once it was dialed in, it was stellar! I have guitars that cost four times as much that give the Ibanez a run for their money in terms of playing and sound. I highly recommend this guitar. I've had my eye on this guitar for some time. And it was worth the wait. Right out of the box, it's beautiful - glossy black with pearl inlays. Nice feel, and once tuned properly using the internal tuner built into the guitar, it sounds just as nice too. The pickup port allows me to make the sound way bigger than it is - which is fun to play with. The only critique that I'd offer is 12 strings by nature are tough to keep in tune, take a bit longer to tune once they go out a bit, and out of the box, the strings turned my fingers black. But all in all, this is a fantastic looking and playing guitar for the value. All other options were brands I've not heard of before and they all had mixed reviews. Came out of the box very badly out of tune. I'm talking wildly out of tune, 1.5-2 steps up or down in tuning. Not only this, but when I was able to get it in tune, almost every single string had fret buzz across the entire neck... I'm not sure how this was built, but I would not pay $50 for it. Action was good. The neck was flat; it should have been fine. I wasn't trying to fix this straight out of the box; I'm sending it back for a refund. I suggest you look at something else or risk having high action on a 12-string cutaway by adjusting the truss rod. NOPE ... show more
