I supplement kibble with organic beef offal I "grow" myself so my boy is rather spoiled with regular additions of grassfed Angus liver and heart and so on, but kibble has its place. Because we have the ritual of tasty additives at mealtime, my dog doesn't want to eat this as-is, but you know, who could blame him when there's not delicious tongue and sweet potato and barley or liver and oats and peas added? Anyway, chose this because my boy is a Boxer and they MUST HAVE higher taurine foods to support heart health- the breed has a VERY high incidence of dilated cardiomyopathy which can be avoided or supported by higher taurine levels. Added taurine at this price point is why we chose this food, and so far it's been great. He has a shiny coat, no issues with weight. Interestingly he HATES the same food in the small kibble form. This dog food is so expensive where we live, it is great to be able to get it delivered to our post office on a subscription. We have no road in or out of town, so it is difficult to get lower cost Iams into town.

I have a three year old yellow lab that shed like crazy just looking at her. Took her to my vet and was told some dogs just shed more then others. I didn't like that answer. Not giving up I feed her Omega 3 & 6 chews, used sensitive skin shampoo and even put olive oil on her food. Nothing worked. Went from Purina sensitive skin dog food to IAMS sensitive skin dog food. Still no change in her shedding. Switched to IAMS lamb & rice dog food. Finally, what a difference this food made in her shedding. ... show more

This is my 8th time ordering this food for my 2 dogs and they love it. We have tried many different kinds and had some problems with upset stomach but not with this one.
