I started using this as well as a hairball gel, and between the two, my cat is much more comfortable. She seems to have passed the worst of the hairball. Before she developed this more serious hairball, my cat would often throw up hairballs around the house. It never bothered me. But this one she couldn’t get out. we got our cat from alley with a lady who would get ok kibble for colony , the iams is usally excellent and eaten with without broth. The hairball is the one that is always good bur different even from other iams formulas. I meant this one felt less snack than hairball to him.
