  • Cat Won’t Eat it
We decided to give this a go with our cat who has FIV. He will not touch it.

  • Ok But..
This box came and my cats could smell the food through the box and the bag. I already feed them an indoor IAMS formula and thought this would definitely be a winner based on that reaction. Opened the bag and right off I noticed the kibble is smaller then the indoor formula and darker. 1 out of my 3 cats decided to try it and he ate it like it was the best thing he had. The other 2 took one smell and then walked away. Not impressed. As a whole they will eat it but I didn't find the ingredients to be any more special than the regular stuff. Still meat by product, still has fillers and other ingredients that for the price makes it under whelming. ... show more

  • Kitties like it
So far my crew seem to like it. It does seem to be helping their coat. I took one star away because of limited availability. After the cat food shortage I like to feed them one that is available in lots of locations. I did notice one more retailer picked it up so maybe its just too new right now. Since cats do not do well switching foods fast this make me worry about this food and places having enough stock with the limited amount of stores having it. If it was made more available it would be helpful. There was bits in my bag that were clumped together which makes you worry if it got wet or its bad quality assurance. Overall the cats love it but they have some work to do on the production and making it more available. but the cats like it ... show more

  • The Cats Like It More Than I Do
My six cats think IAMS Advanced Health Immune Health Salmon and Chicken Recipe kibble tastes great, but the ingredients list doesn't please me. The first ingredient, salmon, is just fine, but the second ingredient is chicken by-product meal, and that's just not acceptable in a food touting itself as high quality. Following the by-product meal are ground corn, chicken meal, then chicken, brewers rice, corn grits, sorghum, and corn gluten meal. I don't like all those corn products as fillers. Kibble always contains fillers, but I would much prefer that my little carnivores get more real meat and that the filler be rice. It always sets well with them, whereas corn presents digestive problems for several, especially the older ones. After giving out individual bowls of this kibble, I saw some intestinal distress among my gang, so I added it half and half to their usual kibble. Several still had problems that only subsided after I cut the mix back to about 20-25% IAMS. They do love the taste, so I also put aside a small bag of it to give out as treats, a few kibbles at a time. They're happy with that, and so am I. But I won't give them something full of by-products and corn as a regular diet. ... show more

  • The cats seem to like it just fine
I got this since the Iams is a good brand and the Immune Health is good for my fur children since they are getting on in age. I have three and one is senior and the other two are roughly middle-aged. My only worry is that wouldn't like it and this being 16 lbs is a lot of food to waste if they wouldn't eat it. I keep my usual cat food in a gallon plastic container so when it got to half full, I refilled it with this and mixed them together to transition them to the new food. They've been eating it all and cleaning their bowls, so I'm guessing they approve. I'm glad since they can be finicky and I've had to throw out [smaller] bags before. I can't really see any changes, but they're all still healthy and not throwing it up, so I guess I'll give this a thumbs up! ... show more

  • All 3 cats love it
Just like the title says - I put out samples of this food as soon as it arrived, and all 3 of my cats immediately ate it all. I've been feeding them Purina One sensitive skin and stomach, and they definitely eat the Iams faster. I haven't noticed any stomach upset from the transition, and the one cat who likes to eat too fast and bring it back up, hasn't yet. The ingredients seem comparable between the two foods - neither one is grain-free, but I keep reading conflicting opinions on that anyway. The Iams is a little more expensive, but if I'm not tossing out uneaten food, I think it evens out in the end. ... show more

  • Cats Like It!
I've purchased Iams before for my cats but I've never tried this flavor. Actually, I've never tried any of the flavors but my cats have. One of them took to it right away. The other took a day but now they both love it. I'm so happy as Iams is a good brand. My cats are now seniors and it's good to know that there are antioxidants in this dry food. I'm happy to give them anything that will give them a longer, happier life. For what you're getting, the price is good. When it comes to cat food, you get what you pay for. The bottom line is that they eat it. If you have cats, you know how finicky they can be. No food is good if they won't eat it. ... show more

  • All of our cats approve!
I know everything will depend on your cat specifically, BUT all of our family’s cats love this stuff. They literally eat it as if it were snacks. They don’t usually care for dry food this much. I don’t know what’s the secret to it, but they approve. We have integrated it into their regular food over the past 3 weeks. No one has had any adverse reactions to it which is pretty rare. I would recommend this and we’ll continue buying it as a secondary food in their dry food mix. ... show more
