  • Fat content
Flavor Name: Poultry Palooza Size: 23 Pound (Pack of 1)
I'd never heard of this name but need I low fat dog food as my dog has pancreatitis and I just can't afford $55 for 5 lbs of food. My Max is a 75 lb Mastiff. He likes this food and it settles his stomach.

  • Dogs love it!
Flavor Name: Poultry Palooza Size: 23 Pound (Pack of 1)
I have two dogs, a 10 y/o GSD mix and a 3 y/o Chiweenie, both absolutely love this food. The former usually gets pretty picky once we get down to half a bag of any food (I rotate dog food brands and flavors regularly because of this) and won't finish the rest of the bag unless I add a lil something extra (like leftover chicken broth), but, despite us now being in the lower 1/4 of the bag, he's still eagerly running to chow down at meal time sans goading. Even sitting on the kitchen mat waiting for me to come into the room to fill up his bowl! I bought this bag on a whim to fill the minimum necessary order for Amazon's free shipping plus it being discounted during a pet week promotion, but I will certainly add this brand to our regular rotation now. ... show more

  • He ate it!
Flavor Name: Poultry Palooza Size: 23 Pound (Pack of 1)
My German Shepherd puppy is almost ten months old, and readily eats this food. Long term, I have no idea, but the company seems to at least try! I do supplement with other foods, so I cannot speak to the long term health issues involved with feeding this food.

  • Excellent food for my Goldendoodle
Flavor Name: Poultry Palooza Size: 23 Pound (Pack of 1)
I started my Livey on this food as a pup 6 years ago, her coat is silky and healthy, she loves the taste, her bodily functions are all consistent and normal, for her it is the perfect food.

  • Good quality food, but my dogs just weren't interested
Flavor Name: Red Meat Medley Size: 5 Pound (Pack of 1)
It's hard for me to review this product. I was cooking for my dogs. I have four, two dachshunds and two toy poodles. The dachshunds hate dog food. Way back when they were young they did well on Eukanuba and then the better dog food craze began and I got caught in it. I decided no by products, corn or soy so the dog food kibble hunt began. I've tried several 5 star kibbles all my dogs turned their noses up too. The I found 4 health and it was eaten for a couple of months no problem but then BAM no more. So the hunt began. I tried canned and I tried kibble but my girls just wouldn't eat so I started cooking for them. It was a healthy diet and they ate it. They ate it all. But I'm sick and my family was angry that I struggled to make the food at times because of my illness and they, of course, were not going to cook for them so I went back to looking for kibble. I researched and crossed referenced the foods from dogfoodadvisor with animal nature pittsburgh unapproved products and manufacturers list and it was too much. I scoured the shelves at petsmart, petco, and my local h.e.b. and nothing. Then this food was found and checked out. I ordered this flavor along with the poultry palooza. What I noticed first was that it smelled good. No fishy or processed dog food smell so I thought it's going to be great. My oldest dachshund came to the bowl when I set it down and took a sample. She did that every morning but that was all she would eat. My other dachshund would eat from it in the evening but very little. 4 dogs ate maybe a cup a day if I was lucky. But the yard waste looked like they ate bowls and bowls and it was soft and runny. I could hear the gastric turmoil in two of my dogs tummies. It just wasn't working so I hunted some more and bought a home made food called My Perfect Pet. It's great stuff. I mix a third of the bar with the food and let it sit so the flavor mixes in and the dogs wolfed it down. Not the I and Love and You but the My Perfect Pet. They'd go back in the evening and eat the kibble at dinner time. I wish I could afford to buy the My Perfect Pet for them but it's just way to expensive. For the poodles, yes I could because they are only 6 lbs and could split a bar between them but not so for the dachshunds. So the hunt was on again. I researched and cross referenced and just ordered the Brothers Venison and Allergy. It will be here next week. Hopefully my dogs will it. If not I will just have to hear my parents and siblings gripe as I cook for them again. And I have to say that I'm actually working harder with the mixing of the food every morning as opposed to having a big pot of food that I cook one morning and it lasts a week. I just serve it and it's gobbled up. Now, why four stars? Because this is great food. It just doesn't agree with my dogs. And the runny stools is why I took a star. Delivery was fast too. Now, from this brand I've also tried the candy cow ears. No luck and the ears are huge!! The power pucks are too expensive for what you get and I used it as a food topper as well. I've bought the venison jerky treats and that went over very very well. I'll continue to buy those. I have to admit that I hate having four picky eaters. It's a drag. My parents feed their dogs Purina and while they eat hardily, they have very bad coats and breath and the yard is covered in turd. And try to change their kibble? They turn their noses up to the "good" stuff. My dachshunds have been to my parents at times, and have wanted to eat their food but I always shooed them from their dish. For those of you who want to say just give them the crap food, don't waste yours or my time because that isn't going to happen. I want my dogs around for a long time and I want them healthy and looking good. So, everyone else, keep your fingers crosses for Brothers. ... show more

  • Two Healthy Dogs
Flavor Name: Poultry Palooza Size: 23 Pound (Pack of 1)
My dogs have been eating this food for about 4 years now. I first found it at a local grocery store and then started to buy from Amazon once the store stopped carrying it. I used a third party dog food review site to grade out the food, recommended from a trainer during socialization classes, because packaging labels can be deceiving. I am not sure about other reviewers' issues, but my dogs never had a negative reaction to the food. They have been eating between the poultry and red meat, depending on flavor availability, since I brought them both home from either the breeder, or the kennel. They have bright shiny coats, white teeth, full of energy, no bad breath, and great health. I have zero complaints outside of the funky, hippee-hollistic name. In all seriousness, I do not have any plans on changing brands. It is rated a five star dry dog food and the results have been fantastic. There is a lot cheaper food with huge marketing budgets available. I still laugh when I see dog food sold with dyed colored kibble in it. Like the dogs freakin' care about color! That's just for the owners ;) ... show more
