These appears to be diced chunks of pate with veggies pieces and goops of gravy with a questionable consistency. My ten pound chiweenie is super picky so he isn't that impressed (ate the first can but ignored the next two), however my mom's eighty pound lab-shepherd mix seemed to enjoy it. The ingredients are good on paper, so if the content of the food is important to you, it's worth checking to see if your pooch is into it! ... show more

My pup couldn't wait to dig in (and honestly, neither could I). Pros: First off, let's talk about the packaging. Each can of Naked Essentials is adorned with a whimsical design that's sure to make you (and your pup) smile. But more importantly, the food inside is equally delightful. The Chicken and Turkey variety pack is a great way to keep mealtime interesting and keep your pup's taste buds happy. And let's not forget about the nutrition. When I chose variety pack, I expected all the flavors to be included, not just turkey and chicken. That aside, I mix it in with my Sr dog’s kibble and he likes it, which is good because he’s a pick eater. The price is decent. Arrived quickly and not dented.

Positives: My dog Cowboy loves it! The food is of good quality and has small diced meat with vegetables in a gravy. Grain free for sensitive dogs with allergies. Smell is not bad at all compared to some other brands I have tried. Made by a local company in Boulder Colorado. Negatives: It is a bit pricey. I have also had issues with the shipping of canned dog food. I ordered 6 cans of venison & beef and when they arrived they were bundled tightly in a plastic bag inside a small box with no packing. Only 1 can out of 6 was not dented. Some very badly. I notified Amazon and they replaced my order right away. This time they came in a 6 pack box within a box and only 1 can out of 6 was dented slightly. Still no packing was used. I believe it would save them money in the long run if they would use some packing material or bubble wrap. One other thing is when Cowboy is in between groomings I have to wash his face after each feeding because of the gravy! Note: Cowboy is a 25lb Lhaspso Apso and I give him 1/3 - 1/2 of a can 3 or 2 times a day. I also leave out dry food of the same brand and give him fresh water daily. I buy the beef & lamb or beef & venison variety since he possibly has chicken allergies. Update: Had to say goodbye to my sweet Cowboy on 5/23/22. He was 14 yrs old and lived a full loved life. I rescued him when he was 6, but in reality he rescued me. Sure do miss that scruffy little face ... 💔 ... show more

The price is right for this canned food product. Both my Husky/Malamute and Staf/Pitt gobble right up. Quality in means less coming out, if you get my drift. This has become our go to canned brand in our home.
