These are lovely rocks, very attractive and a good mix. I bought them for my daughter, who is developing an interest in geology. However, I didn't receive what I'd ordered. I ordered a 2lb package of medium stones, and it was labeled as such, but these are quite clearly large stones, some of them well over an inch (a few are close to 2 inches). I'm disappointed primarily because they were for a project, for which she needed 100 rocks. I only received 54, so I'll either have to buy more or return them and look elsewhere. The stones are 5 star quality, but since what I received wasn't what was advertised, I'm knocking it down for that. Update: I was able to contact the seller, who sent me a replacement right away. I purchased the 2 pound lot in the small size. I had a project that required a decent variety of color, so I separated all of the stones. I had a few tiny groups of unique/unidentifiable (by me, in my limited knowledge) stones, a huge amount of rose quartz, and a nice variety of everything else. I expected it to be mostly rose quartz, as it seems like more assortments are...so I don't really hold it against this particular listing. The stones were a nice quality. What a lovely mix! A bag of tiny, little treasures! Some of the natural stones/crystals I received: Amethyst, Ametrine, Chevron Amethyst, Howlite, Clear Quartz, Rose Quartz, Snowflake Obsidian, Red Jasper, Mookaite, Moss Agate, Labradorite, Hematite, Sodalite, Cinnabar, Green Aventurine, Blue Aventurine, Tigers Eye, Unakite, Botswana Agate, and others. The only small gripe would be the few man made stones included in the mix. Thankfully, there were only a few. And only 2 broken pieces out of the whole lot. I purchased the 1 pound lot of the large stones. The stones arrived swiftly. Overall I received around 55 stones, which all came together in a slim plastic baggie. There was a pretty decent variety of stones; about 20 of them were rose quartz and red jasper (about 10 pieces each). I also got some nice looking yellow and green stones, some of which may be calcite (after some googling those looked the most similar). The yellow calcite was reminiscent of a creamsicle, and the hues of green ranged from light mint, to more of a lime color, to a dark sea green which was lovely to look at. I'm not sure if all of them were calcite, or if some of them were green aventurine. I also received more earthy gems that I am not really able to identify. I did get one dalmatian Jasper, a small onyx piece, some light gray stones with interesting designs, and two pieces of clear quartz. The one thing that extremely disappointed me, however, was that I got two small pieces of what I am 99% sure are fluorite, but one of the the pieces had a lot of rough edges and cracks, and the other was completely broken. I absolutely love fluorite, so I was really sad to see these damaged pieces, especially since the larger one had a beautiful green and purple streak inside of it, but it was obscured by all the cracks and damage. I also saw that a lot of other people got amethyst, sodalite, rhodonite, etc, but I did not get any of those, which was a little disappointing. I would rather have gotten an equal proportion of all the possible stones, than a disproportionate amount of one or two stones. I am really sick of getting mostly red Jasper and rose quartz whenever I order gems in bulk, I guess it must be because they're just cheaper. Perhaps if I order the two pound lot, I will get a better variety. ... show more

These crystals are so beautiful! Wonderful coloring and markings, smooth shape, super shiny. Most of them are on the larger side with most of them quarter size and larger. The stones are larger than I expected so I'm very pleased with that. I do wish there was more of a variety. I only received one piece of fluorite and it was badly cracked. Out of the entire 2 pounds though only about 5 crystals were unusable due to being broken. Not too bad, in my opinion. Most of it appears to be a type of jasper, LOTS of rose quartz and aventurine, only 2 pieces of unakite, a couple that I think are rhodonite, and one that might actually be bronzite. I'm still verifying that one. Still, for the price paid I can't complain, except about the lack of fluorite. Really sad about that. It's such a common crystal, I was hoping for some. ... show more

They are for the most part as advertised. Somewhere a little bit smaller, but they are pretty much all the same size. Very very beautiful. If you're looking to get started and Crystal collection This may be for you if you want to have to play with or various traditional things that one might do with crystals. This may not be for you if you are looking to a vast difference in Crystal types. You do get a good assortment, but you're probably going to get about one or two different rare looking ones. Maybe one turquoise. Maybe one red tiger's eye. Maybe one pyrite. On the other hand there will be a lot of repeat offenders with Jasper or Amethyst. ... show more

I’m very pleased with the stones I received! A bit disappointed in the heavy amount of red jasper (mainly because these are stocking stuffers for my sparkle/pink/purple loving daughters), but overall, they’re all beautiful.
