The HyperX Cloud Core headphones look great, feel great, have great sound quality, and are priced really well. For some strange reason, I couldn't get the microphone to work but as I have a separate microphone I use I didn't mind. Since the mic is removable they look clean and minimal on my desk. The 7.1 surround sound is also very good. I couldn't find many reviews of these specific headphones (HyperX Cloud Core), and the ones I did find seemed like a mixed bag, but I took a risk and I'm glad I did. For $40, I don't have any complaints. The audio quality is good enough for gaming and casual listening, and it comes with a detachable microphone that makes you sound nice and clear - or so I've been told by people I've called. The headset has a non-removable 3.5mm cable, but it's braided. The headset also comes with a USB adapter that has a built-in DAC and an optional 7.1 surround sound mode, although I don't think it sounds great in that mode. One slightly annoying thing is that there's no built-in mute button on the headset itself. There's a mute switch on the USB adapter, but it's a little annoying to use. The USB adapter does have a clip on it, in case you want to attach it to your collar or something like that. ... show more

These are great for the $35 I paid for them on sale. I wanted an upgrade from my generic $16 USB headset that was falling apart. Build-quality wise, this is a solid step up. They're comfortable and the materials are sturdy. Oddly enough, audio wise they're better but also worse. The USB dongle is a bit annoying. First, the microphone volume on the control effects the actual computer volume, and you have no idea what it's set to because windows does not bring up an overlay when you adjust it (like it does for the volume). You also can't always access the volume control for the device in windows. I have updated firmware, looked through the manual, read a bunch of reviews and posts about the issue and there's no clear answer to solve the issue. The listening sound quality is decent. the 7.1 seems to work OK in the few games that I play. The microphone is somehow worse than my generic headset. It's got a mid-heavy sound to it, like an old webcam mic or something. The audio is clear and easy to understand, but I don't get why it's so tinny. My cheap headset sounds significantly better. I'm not sure if it has to do with the audio interface, the "noise canceling" or just a poor quality microphone. With the interface being a bit of a paint, I am going to try and use the headset with the integrated sound and an adapter. I'm kind of bummed that for the original price this does not include a TRRS splitter as well as the 7.1 usb sound card thing. For what I paid I'm not too worried. Overall it's just OK. If the microphone sounds better with the TRRS adapter, I will be happy. ... show more

As the title says, I've had these headphones for two years of near daily use, got the wired version, and have had 0 issues with them. Maybe I'm on the fortunate side but the only issue I've had in the two years, is that the cover on the cushions has started to degrade, but that's expect from daily wear and tears. They're excellent quality and fit over my head great. 10/10, will buy again whenever these ones break. ... show more

Bought this to replace my previous work headset that I had cracked and repaired too many times. I am on Zoom calls about half the day so need a good microphone and a comfortable fit. This headset ticks both boxes. I've had it a few months and no complaints. Sound quality is great too, for those heads-down times I want to listen to a little music. I just purchased these. Comes with a two year license for the DTSx Sound App. Installed it on my Windows PC and I love them. I don't have the mic hooked up (I don't use it), so I can't speak to that aspect of them. These are comfy on my head (and ears). They are fairly light. The sound is really good. The first HyperX Cloud that I bought was the Cloud White version, I found these for $34 so I decided to get them and custom paint in White, the sound is comparable to the originals, I power them with the Creative G6 in direct mode, and they sound really good, notice that I also changed the earpads to gels ones.     • Great product but had an issue with it after awhile

Everything works and fits well....But After not sure if its been 6 months yet. But the left side ear phone stopped locking into place and just slides all the way out with very little pull on it. So every time now i put the headphones on...the left side slides all the way out and does not lock into place like the right side still does.
