I have 37 years of experience behind the boat and I really wanted to like this being I grew up using hydroslide kneeboards. When kneeboard padding was upgraded to form fitted knee insert it was a game changer. Unfortunately in this boards case the foam is really hard but worse than that it is less built up to your knees and more recessed into the board. This forces your weight forward and down. To counter this you have to lean back much harder than you should which puts more pressure on your feet because they sit higher on the board than your knees. Unfortunately the flaw of the overly recessed knee cups makes it more difficult to get up and strap in and the hard foam padding makes for a shorter ride. That being said the really little guys like to ride it because the cups are so deep they don't have to strap in. It has the right price,right shape, It is made from good materials and assembled well. I believe it to safe and rideable just needs some redesign and softening. I would have gave 4 stars if it didn't hurt the feet. ... show more

    • Strap Bracket an issue
Bought for my daughter’s 10th birthday. Love the colors and design. The bracket for the strap is too close to the pad to get the strap through. Total design flaw. I loosened the screws on the bracket and was able to get it through but am nervous about future use causing the screws to come out completely. I haven’t used the board myself yet so I can’t speak to the padding but 2 little girls have liked it so far. ... show more

This is an excellent kneeboard for a beginner. My son is 12 and had trouble getting up. As soon as he learned about he clip at the front, no problem. It's been alot of fun.

I would definitely buy this board again! Both my kids got up on their first try(13 yrs and 11 yrs). The clip in the front made a HUGE difference for first timers!
