It is leak proof, durable , fits perfectly, great seal, looks nice and has removed my microplastics concern.. Great move by Hydro Flask. I use the 32 oz size with the new metal lid instead of an insulated teapot. Insulated teapots have plastic tops and unresolved microplastic issues.. This lid is pricier than the China knock off Amazon sells, but this one works….If Hydro Flask figure s out how to make a metal sip top I’ll buy it.

Reduced microplastics is always a plus. Durable, holds up to bumps and drops. Easier to clean than the plastic Flex Caps that come with these water bottles. Sounds like a nightmare when you're closing your bottle unless you go slowly, but the seal is leakproof. Better than the original cap.

I have had one of these for over a year and am very pleased with it. Very good quality and works great. Never had any issues with metal residue, so not sure how that other person was opening/closing their bottle. Commenting this on here since I hope they don’t stop making these. I plan to buy another if I buy another bottle in the future. Overall would recommend.

Excellent fit and feel. Looks really nice, was slightly expensive but worth the quality. It kept the to liquid from leaking out during highly active events. I'm very happy with the purchase, highly recommended for health conscious people.

I received it on the 6th of July and so far there's no leaks but you need to close it properly, although there is a squeaking sound every time you close it. IT's worth mentioning that I'm using it only with cold water.

Warning: using this steel cap presents a serious problem that many others have observed. While it looks very sleek, it produces a significant and visible amount of fine steel residue and tiny metal flakes, even after using it only a few times. All you have to do to verify this is clean the threading area of the cap and the bottle with a white cloth after only several uses and you'll very clearly see the amount of dark metal dust/shavings it shaves off every time, which WILL enter your system. You can do this process more than once and you'll get an idea of how much metal it grinds out each time. If you're thinking of buying this steel cap to avoid plastics you should be even more concerned about how much metal will go into your body. I'm amazed this is still being sold.

not much to say besides the material is high quality stainless steel that feels high quality and looks high quality. i like hydroflask lids and this one does not disappoint. if you a prefer a more premium stainless steel look, dislike plastic, or care about better cleanliness then this product is one to add to your hydroflask collection. it also makes it a lot easier to never confuse with other people when in groups. most people do not have a stainless steel lid they have the boring normal boo hoo hum bug plastic nah nah lid that brings no joy or elevation

Ya know what makes a lot of noise in my Hydro Flask? Ice sloshing around with my favorite tasty beverage. This stainless steel lid is no louder than anything else in life. It's actually a great lid in all seriousness. Lid fits like a glove, doesn't leak, the look has made me popular again with the ladies. And best of all, the reason I went with this, won't smell over time from coffee. Edit: Have had for 2 weeks. My bottle is my workhorse at work and at home. There no metal shavings, I repeat there areno metal shavings. The lid is very well machine there is no need to clamp it down super hard. Feels great handling something w/o plastic that has weight. That plastic handle is destined to be removed. Wish: the handle was also smoothed metal. Gladly pay extra.
