I've had many water bottles and flasks in the past, and I thought I would give this one a try since I've heard only good things from the brand. I got the 21oz size with a screw on top and I thinks it's a great size for short travels and such. If I were going on a hike or taking a longer trip, I would recommended getting a larger size. I really like the mouth, it's the perfect size and is comfortable to drink out of. It seems leak proof and it keeps your liquids cold for a while. I tested it since it claimed to keep things cold for 12 hours. I poured ice and water into it and left it sitting at my desk for 12 hours. It wasn't as cold as when I first filled it and all of the ice was melted after that long, but it still was a decently refreshing cold drink. I'm not sure how well it would do if left in a hot car, or left out in the summer but it would still keep things pretty cold for a handful of hours I'm sure. A Solid Flask

I like the quality build of this flask. The top fits well and does not leak. There are only two pieces, the flask and the cap, so nothing to fiddle with when cleaning the unit. It does a great job of maintaining the temperature of whatever I put in it. My only reservation is that the flask is a little heavy. I was accustomed to uninsulated plastic containers, with the added pack weight being primarily the fluid in the container. It didn't occur to me that an insulated metal flask might have an empty weight of 0.75 pounds empty, but it does. This may not matter for a casual trip, but for a backpacking excursion it does. Keeps water cold for days. Worth every penny!

I'll be honest, I wanted to know why people would spend so much money on a water bottle. Until I tried one. You cannot afford to waste your money on any other water bottle. The fact they make replacement parts for these bottles is even better because you can swap out lid styles and replace parts if you lose them. The water on a 90 degree day is ice cold after hours of laying in the sun at spring events. You should try it for yourself. You will never want to use another water bottle again. ... show more

Good, but not for every use case

I work in agriculture and wanted an insulated bottle for using in the field. My bottles get dirt, etc., all over them by nature of the job. At first glance I was excited about the standard mouth bottle, but after using for one day I realize that your mouth has to go on the outside rim of the bottle - in my case, where dirt is. The wide mouth bottles have an interior lip that's protected by the cap, thus providing a clean, dirt-free rim for you to drink from. If you're throwing this standard mouth bottle in a backpack for work or hiking it's a great bottle, but for truly outdoor, in-the-elements use cases I would suggest getting the wide mouth bottle for sanitary reasons (and it's easier to clean, too). ... show more

Most convenient all around!

Love the wide opening and the handle that keeps it upright no matter what position you’re holding it (hate this bottles that have fixed handles that make the bottle stick out) . And last but certainly not least is how cold the water is after hours in the hot car! Best purchase ever!

Great drinking bottle

I used it when I was subbing, as it fit well in my lunch box. I also use it everyday for drinking water only. It keeps the water very cold for hours. The only thing I dislike is having to screw off the lid. It’s ok for in-home or work use, but unscrewing while driving is a little tricky. I just keep the lid off usually while driving. Lightweight and well insulated bottle

This bottle is light so when filled with water it doesn’t feel overly heavy to carry around and drink out of. It’s also has a grippy feel so doesn’t feel like it’ll slip out of your hand. Which is also good since it does dent easily if dropped on the floor. Like that it comes in so many bright cheerful colors. The one let down is that I ordered the 24oz size but noticed that I received the 21oz size after I threw away the packaging so not able to return/exchange. ... show more
