Update: Okay, I'll admit the hole is very helpful. My previous bottles have been powder coated, which doesn't create much suction. This new one I'm using with this Flex Boot is smooth metal, and it would have been pretty tough to put on without the hole. ________________________________________________________________ Original review: I own an older version of the bottle boot which has no hole in the bottom. Supposedly, this hole is to help release pressure when putting it on, but I think it was never a problem to begin with. The boot stretches, so it's pretty easy to get a finger in there to release pressure. I've never had an issue putting my boot on or taking it off. To me, this just feels like a damaged item that now has a hole for water to leak in. ... show more

Fits perfectly on my 32oz Hydroflask. A bery small hole on the bottom of the sleeve make it easy to slip in the bottom of the bottle. Fits snug and stays on nicely. I remive when I hand wash. Protects bottom of Hydroflask from dents and chips. And yes, you will eventually drop it

This rubber boot is great for protecting your Hydroflask and the medium size fit perfectly on my 32oz bottle. The bottom piece is more structured than the sides and it has held up well. The only thing to note is that the black color is not the same as the black Hydroflask bottle lid which is shown in my picture. The boot has more of a blue hint to it. ... show more
