I use this to run to the butcher on my ebike in NYC. It can be crammed into the largest saddlebag I could find although it does limit capacity to do so. I have no problems with the zipper that others have notes. Keeps things very cold and when I left ice in there and forgot about it, it was still partly unmelted over a day later. This is a nice cooler bag! The negatives though would be deal breakers for some folks: it takes two hands to open the "zipper top" and it will not keep items as cold as a similar style YETI. It stayed COLD for an 11 hour road trip keeping food and my medication cold. However, a full 24 hours later in my hotel room, most items were room temp and ice was completely melted though items below the ice and ice packs were cold-ish. It's a nice looking, well made item. I like the color and that it's easily washable. It held meals and extensive snacks and for two, meds, and lots of drinks. I have severe dietary restrictions and this is perfect for long road trips for me. I had hoped it could be used to supplement my small hard sided cooler for camping trips but I think the ice would need to be replaced too often for it to be practical. My cooler arrived without a strap but I kept it anyway after Amazon offered a credit. Hydroflask is sending me a strap. UPDATE: I've used this on several more very long car trips and love it for trips where the food/meds only need to be stored for 16 hours or under. Over that period of time, it is unlikely to keep items refrigerator-level cold unless you use an excessive number of ice packs. The zipper is still a PITA and you must use both hands and use a very hefty grip. The upside of the "zipper" is my dog can'y get into the cooler on his own unlike most cooler bags he's left alone with for any period of time. This cooler bag also cleans up well with no residual odors. This is a great alternative to a more expensive YETI cooler bag. would absolutely buy this again. ... show more

When the cooler arrived I brought it in and opened it to acclimate to my home temp of 75 degrees. I placed a frozen Blue Apron ice pack in it (12X8X1) by itself and checked on it 24 hours later. I'd say about 1/3 of it was still frozen. I checked again around 6 hours later and the ice was gone but still very cold. I did not catch how long it stayed cold but I would guess at least a few more hours for a total of around 35 hours of cold. I'm very impressed. I don't know if Yeti is as cold or colder but for basically half the price I'm happy. The zipper, as mentioned in other reviews, is a bit stiff but I think it is worth the extra effort because it is waterproof, along with the whole bag. I put some water in it, turned it upside down for several moments while shaking it and not a drop of water came out. It's nice to know if it falls over in transport it will not leak on anything. Not knowing what the materials to make it cost I can only guess that it's a bit overpriced, but I doubt if anything else works as well so if it's in your budget go ahead and buy it! ... show more

I ordered this bag for beach and boat days and boy is it heavy! This bag is also not very malleable and is made of very hard plastic. I have owned other Hydroflask Totes and was not expecting this to be so heavy and made of this hard, inflexible material. Unfortunately it did not suit my needs and had to be returned. ... show more
