I put this insulated travel mug on a scale and weighed out liquid, and it holds closer to 11oz when the lid is on. Not a huge difference from the advertised 12oz, but it's enough that if you are brewing an 11oz coffee in the morning, it won't fit into this mug after adding cream, and especially given that the size is already a bit small to begin with. I returned the 12oz version and bought the 16oz version because of this. The 16oz version holds about 15oz of liquid with the lid on. My second problem with this mug is that the seal isn't as tight as I'd like. While I don't expect a super tight seal with a press-on lid (otherwise pressure could build up and push the lid off), I at least wish that the pinhole was a little smaller and the seal around the drinking area was a little more airtight. As it is, there are enough gaps that coffee will splash up out of the mug onto my hand a bit on about half the days that I use this mug during my work commute. It's definitely not leak-proof, although the description doesn't claim it is. I put soapy water in it to wash it when I first took out of the package. Closed the lid and shook the tumbler, soapy water went everywhere. I don't think this will be a problem for me, but if you're expecting to put it in a bag to carry with you - don't. ... show more

I have been looking for insulated glasses to use instead of tall thermos style. I have original Hydro Flask glasses from years ago. These new ones seem to have retained the good quality of those and have a nice top lid. If you get any kind of overfill of the liquid it does seem to cause a dribble effect. All in all a good find. This was an expensive coffee mug, but it does keep it warm for hours. The lid has a sliding closure but it is not leak proof so be careful. It would have been nice if this came with a rubber boot. Bought this hoping it would keep my coffee warm for more than 20 mins after making it like my old cup. Not disappointed at all. I will be ordering a couple more for sure now. Only thing I wish the design of the lid was alittle better. It does leak if you fill to close to top or turn the cup at an angle. Only complaint I have really.
