I purchased the 6' board. The soft top of this board is amazing. It is seamlessly integrated into the fiberglass and provides awesome foot grip without wax. This is not a beginners board as it does not ride high like a foam board and requires intermediate+ skills to catch a shoulder. It is as fast as any of the traditional 6' fiberglass boards I have had in the past. Have not been out in large waves yet, but it works great for 2-4 foot swells. I am very please overall.

Great looking board. Light weight and buoyant. I’ve only been out a few times. I am an intermediate surfer weighing 180 pounds. Definitely not a beginner board unless you weigh 100 pounds. Seems like quality. Very impressed so far.

Really like this board. Surfs anything from OH to 3 foot and is easy into waves. Only issue is it's hard to surf this without a wetsuit as it really chafs the inner thighs in summer. Lots of float and I can even duck dive this. Glass bottom and real fin boxes mean you can swap out the fins they give you with more high performance ones. Highly recommend this board.

***Update*** It turns out it was too buoyant for me to even sit on, so maybe consider your weight and build before buying. Honestly, it will be hard to sit on for most people as it is a very buoyant short board, and the material they use gives it even more float. Bought the seaside firewire instead and I can sit on it much easier than this one as it sinks better. Wish they sold this with their older 5'8" model. I'm still skeptical about the durability but given it's lightweight, it probably will be fine unless you use it on high swells. Definitely more of a beginner's, intermediate board as far as quality is concerned. You can also get front and back traction pads for traditional boards that can imitate the "no wax" feature that is of similar quality to their material. There's also a 10% restocking fee and they don't like you when you make returns. ----------------------- Will update the review when my ribs heal and can get on it. As for first impressions of the board, it is super light for its volume and a good looking board. Board is wide and should be able to make it easier for a beginner/intermediate surfer. The only concern is that it does seem fragile given how light it is but only time will tell. It's very well built though and can't wait to test it out.

first board came damaged, but it wasn't seller's fault. Unsurprisingly, the board was damaged through FedEx as they are known for being one of the worst delivery company out there. Received a replacement board and I am satisfied with it so far, the board is wide and floats very well, it paddles like a foamy but provides the speed and mobility of a regular surfboard. The board is not for beginners, but I would highly recommend it to someone who is trying to move down from a longboard/funboard to learn more advanced maneuvers.
