This splitting axe actually performs quite well — but as others have noted, the item sent was the 20” handle (not the 27”) so I can’t give 5 stars. This essentially functions more like a large, heavy hatchet more than a splitting axe…still useful though as long as that’s what you actually want.

This product needs to be re-labled... it is NOT the 27 inch splitting axe. What I received was what many people said they got. The 19 inch small splitting axe... I'm sure it's fine and I'll keep it for kindling but I'm not happy...
