- Expedition Parka is an excellent choice for small and big adventures in cold weather where additional warmth is needed
- This winter coat has been designed for all dogs, but it is especially beneficial for short-haired dogs and dogs without undercoat in cold conditions
- The Expedition Parka is designed to allow for extended range of motion and not to restrict movement when the dog is running and playing
- The neckline, length of the back and the collar circumference of the Expedition Parka all can be adjusted for a perfect fit. 3M reflective piping improve safety and visibility in the dark
- NO TWO DOGS ARE THE SAME - Dont guess on the size. Use the size chart along with the Measuring Your Dog size guide for a perfect fit. The back length is the most important for apparel. In addition to the basic sizes 832, there are sizes 16XS and 18XS for Dachshunds and 12XL and 14XL for small, bull-type dogs

High quality dog coat with customizable features--very nice!
Size: 12XL
Color: Buckthorn
This is a great cold-weather coat! The bright color offers good visibility and the reflective strip allows for light reflection after dark. The coat has multiple points of adjustability, including "secret" adjustments at the neck and under the back that allow it to be customized to fit a specific dog. It also has a tag compartment and a feature that allows the inner neck barrier to be snugged up against the neck to keep wind out. There is a central portion that fits between the dog's front legs and wraps over the back, securing the coat in place and keeping the belly area dry (even in the post-snow slush and mud). It also has better leg coverage than previous coats I have purchased. The only feature I didn't care for is the loops to hold the rear leg flaps in place, as they are too long for my dog. Nevertheless, I ordered three of these--one for each of my girls. Highly recommend!

great coat, worth the money
Size: 24 in
Color: Buckthorn
I knew about Hurtta but tried other coats not wanting to pay as much. I ended up spending more and came back to this one. It fits all my requirements: No velcro, my dog hates the sound and I have other things to work with her on so one less thing to desensitize her. Easy on easy off. Full coverage, including neck coverage when my dog is head is down sniffing. I suggest to follow manufacturers instructions on measurement unless you want a shorter coat on the dogs back. You can shorten the back of the coat and still have back legs covered using its drawstring. I was worried I ordered a big one after reading comments about people ordering a size down but I'm glad I stuck to the measurements. The fit is great. Coat doesn't shift or, if it does, it corrects itself quickly even without using the back leg straps. My dogs refuse to walk with leg straps so I cut them. This is the only coat long enough to provide full coverage and not keep shifting around without the straps. I also like the fit and coverage of Chilly dogs but the velcro was a deal breaker there. We already had one rain storm, dog's coat was dry and the coat dried off pretty quickly afterwards.

Worth every single penny
Size: 22 in
Color: Bilberry
Rather than point out the utterly obvious (ok but really, look how CUTE he is!!), here’s what you came here for: * EXCELLENT QUALITY as always with Hurtta. (Our two Hurtta harnesses and a Hurtta Monsoon Raincoat have stood up to 2-5 years of hard use now,l, and are still going strong.) * SIZE 22” fits my Welsh Springer Spaniel perfectly. This is exactly what the size charts said to buy. It is also the same size in this coat as he wears in his Monsoon Raincoat. (Welsh Springers are more or less built like English Springers but with shorter legs.) His measurements: 28” around, ~21” length, 56 lbs/25.6 kg. Pics were taken before I cinched up the back length an inch or so. I ordered the 20” and the 22” and kept the 22” because the extra length on the back leg panels made the leg loops fall at a lower and more comfortable position. In S-M-L sizes of quality brands, he is always a medium, though they are usually 3-4” too short lengthwise. Thanks, Hurtta, for all the different lengths!!! * BOY BITS: I’ve included a picture of his undercarriage. I love that even the 22” coat (on a 21” dog) leaves PLENTY of room for peeing without hitting the fabric. Also note that the leg loops are not too high or tight. * COLOR: “Bilberry” is a clear, heathered, medium blue. Not loud but not grey or drab. It’s a beautiful and sophisticated-looking color. Like some handsome movie star’s eyes, lol. The closest I can say is it’s kind of like a slightly brighter washed denim blue. It is NOT teal or royal blue! :-) * WARMTH: The insulation is good for a dog coat. I worry more about them overheating than getting hypothermic. It’s definitely warmer than the (uninsulated) Monsoon Raincoat, but not ridiculously so; this is exactly what I hoped for for our wet winter walks where we are being active in temperatures slightly above freezing. * EASY ON/OFF: Just pop it over the head, clip the belt strap, pick up each hind paw to use the leg loops (optional), clip the leash to the collar or harness (there’s a hole for that on the back), and out you go! (If your dog’s unsure about sticking their head into the neck hole, hold a treat in one hand and pop the coat over the head with the other as you deliver the treat. After a few times, the dog will learn it’s not a scary weird trap.) * CINCH CORDS: These pics were all taken without any of the three cinch cords adjusted—straight out of the bag. There is a stretchy adjustable cinch cord for the length, one at the base of the neck “funnel,” and one at the neck opening. This adds great, logical functionality, and is basically the same system as on the Monsoon Raincoat. *HIGHLY RECOMMEND! It was love at first sight for us. I hope this review helps!

LOVE THIS COAT, so does our pup
Size: 14 in
Color: Beetroot
This coat is awesome! It’s so easy to put on and take off. It goes over the head, and buckles at the waist. It has leg straps, and adjustable straps for a perfect fit. The price is pretty good, considering it is lined, and keeps our pup nice and warm. We haven’t had it long enough to really say how durable it is, but it definitely looks well made. The coat is so soft and just thick enough to keep our girl nice and warm. It also comes in a few colors. Our Sienna is a girl, so we went with the beet color, and it is prettier in person. We have told friends about this coat because we really love it. You won’t be disappointed in this jacket, give it a try. You and your pup will be happy you did!

Quality, Fit, Warm, Comfy
Size: 10 in
Color: Buckthorn
My 8lbs Chihuahua’s back is 14 inches, but after reading the reviews and having ordered the 8 inch for my 5 pounder, I knew that the 10 inch coat would be the best fit for my bigger guy here. I really like that there’s a “harness like” D ring for leash attachment on the back. I LOVE that these jackets come in sizes perfect for tiny dogs under 10 pounds :). I’m so glad I kept scouring dog coat items and finally came across this one. Both my 5 pound and 8 pound chihuahuas are very comfortable in these coats and they look very very cool! I had bought the blue-grey and think color wise it’s okay, but the orange color is really nice.
