When I first tried saddle hunting, I’ll admit, I was skeptical. The promise of mobility and versatility sounded great in theory, but finding the right platform to trust with my footing - especially several feet off the ground - felt tricky. Nevertheless, I decided to give this NatureBlend Hunting Saddle Platform a try, and I wasn’t disappointed! The first thing I noticed was how lightweight it felt. At just 16"x12", it struck that perfect balance: compact enough to carry easily, but not so small that I’d feel cramped when perched on it for hours. Made of cast aluminum, it’s tough yet surprisingly easy to handle. I packed it up and headed out for a test run on one of my usual hunting trails. Setting it up was, thankfully, as straightforward as promised. The cinch belt and button system were intuitive and allowed me to secure it tightly to the tree without fumbling or making any noise. That’s super critical - especially when you’re setting up in pre-dawn silence, trying not to spook anything in the area. Once in place, it felt solid. The non-slip ridges on the platform’s surface gave me confidence when shifting my weight for better positioning. One thing that I really liked was how stable it felt underfoot. I tried leaning into my tether, testing the edges, even moving from one side to the other to simulate adjusting for a shot. Not once did I feel wobbly or unsure of my footing. The angled edges were a subtle but very much appreciated feature - they allowed for smoother transitions and more comfortable leaning angles. After using it for several hunts, I can confidently say this platform has really improved my hunting experience. The stability, ease of setup, and lightweight design make it a perfect addition to my gear. It may not have all the frills of some higher-end platforms, but at its price point, it delivers everything a hunter truly needs. But no product is without its quirks, and the NatureBlend is no exception. While it’s a very reliable platform, I did notice the finish was slightly too shiny for my taste. In direct sunlight, it could reflect just enough to catch the attention of a deer. A quick fix with some matte spray paint or camo tape solved that problem, though. Another minor hiccup was during setup - if I wasn’t careful, the cinch strap had a tendency to brush against branches or my gear, making a faint but noticeable noise. A little extra mindfulness during setup goes a long way here. Bottom line: The NatureBlend Hunting Saddle Platform delivers a great balance of lightweight design, stability, and ease of setup. Its compact yet sturdy cast aluminum build feels secure, even during weight shifts and shot adjustments, with angled edges and non-slip ridges adding comfort and safety. Setting it up is intuitive and quiet, perfect for stealthy pre-dawn hunts. Minor downsides include a slightly reflective finish (easily fixed with matte spray paint or camo tape) and a cinch strap that can occasionally make noise if not carefully handled. Overall, it’s a solid, affordable option for saddle hunters. 5 stars in my book! Pros: 1. Lightweight and compact for easy transport. 2. Stable and secure underfoot. 3. I have several of these aftermarket platforms now. Due to the EXCELLENT value (AKA: low price) I can set the platform into my chosen tree and leave it. I find this platform to be reasonably solid and gets the job done. It is also fairly light weight allowing for ease of carry or packing into the deep woods. I will say, this platform is best suited to trees in the 8" to 14" diameter. They don't fit really large diameters or flat spots well due to the smaller base foot with a tighter radius compared to my name brand platform. But again, price point allows you to leave this platform anywhere you wish. One caveat. This platform SHINES like a beacon in the woods. The whole thing needs to be painted well ahead of time. Give it a few weeks to shed the paint smell. Once painted, it's nearly perfect for the average sized three. Love It - Highly Recommended

This saddle platform is really nice. It is sturdy and easy to use. It folds into being pretty low profile. The only reason I gave it 4 starts instead of 5 is the weight. It is pretty heavy. I wish it was about half the weight. But the platform size is nice and functions well. Overall I’m happy with this platform.

As an avid hunter, I recently decided to invest in a couple of Hunting Saddle Platforms, specifically the 16"x12" and 12"x12" models. After using them for several outings, I can wholeheartedly say that these platforms are game-changers for anyone serious about deer hunting, especially in new areas. First and foremost, the construction of these platforms is impressive. Both the 16"x12" and 12"x12" models platforms are made entirely of aluminum, making them lightweight yet sturdy enough to support the weight and movement needed when hunting. The grip on the tree is reliable, as the platforms adhere excellently, providing a solid footing that instills confidence when you're up in the air. One of the standout features of these platforms is their portability. Gone are the days of lugging around bulky traditional tree stands. I utilize a Universal Backpack System to carry both my climbing sticks and platforms, which makes transportation effortless. I can fit everything I need in one backpack, making my hunting trips much more streamlined. The convenience of being able to pack all my gear efficiently cannot be overstated. The flexibility these platforms offer cannot be matched. When hunting on public grounds where tree stands are often taken or where the terrain might change, having the ability to easily relocate is invaluable. I can scout a new spot and set up with minimal effort, which has drastically improved my hunting efficiency. This freedom to adapt to different locations has made each outing feel more productive, as I can set up where the deer are most active without worrying about leaving a permanent stand behind. For both beginners and seasoned hunters, I highly recommend investing in a Saddle Platform. They provide a significant advantage in terms of mobility and ease of use, and I've found that since adopting these platforms, my reliance on traditional tree stands has significantly dwindled. Not only do I feel safer and more secure up in the trees, but I also appreciate the reduced stress of worrying about leaving a tree stand in the woods. I misunderstood what this product is and it is not what I thought it was... entirely my fault. While I can't speak to its actual functionality, I can say that it appears very well made. It is solid cast aluminum with sturdy nylon straps. It's compact and lightweight and seems very portable. It seems very good for the right person.
