The boot was just as it looks on picture the material seemed great and the look was what I pictured but it’s definitely regular size calf. I don’t think I have that big of a calf but it did not fit me .

    • Great boots but need half-sizing

I live in Seattle, have a dog and wear these boots every day in the rain and mud -- while also walking on a lot of concrete. (I bought inserts so ease the PSI on the pavement.) I especially like the height of the boot which is 17" -- taller than almost all other rain boots. They also have a slightly higher heel than most rain boots - not much but a little. I like that feature. The downside is I wear a 10.5. While I decided on a 10 (I tried on both an 11 and a 10) the 10 is a might bit snug so I can only wear only the thinnest of socks -- so kind of wish I had bought an 11. If I had one wish, I wish Hunter would make half-sizes. I have only purchased "knock-offs" before and they normally last only two winters before a crack sets in. I will be interested to see if Hunter Boots hold up longer. They look a lot better than knock-offs -- but they also cost 3 to 4 times as much! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this on Amazon Prime. I was so excited I got my boots today they are so beautiful. Unfortunately, the valves are too tight on me, I have big calves and I'm so disappointed I have to return them. I'd give it a 4 star but because the calves are too tight it looses 1 star. Overall, this a beautiful... rain boots. I recommend it for people with small calves ... show more

Well if you want a leg workout order these! I’ve been excited about these for a long time yet was surprised how “weighted” they are. I’m assuming the shorter ones be lighter yet I wanted the taller ones for wearing in heavily wooded, moist areas and where there are snakes.
