I had to put a inner soul into them as they have little support. Also, I have larger than average ankle bones and these boots cause me pain in that area. I wear socks underneath and roll them down to cover my ankle bone to relieve the pressure. This makes them more comfortable. I wear them whenever it rains and they keep my feet nice and dry .
