If you have a HumminGuru ultrasonic record cleaning machine, and if you use the thing frequently then getting this automatic water dispenser is a no brainer. It makes using the machine, faster, simpler, easier, cleaner, better. How does it do that? You fill it once and then it automatically dispenses the exact amount of water needed first time, every time, for every record for a great number of records. No muss, no fuss, no need to check anything, no more spills, no more measuring. How often must you change the water and how will you know when to do it? You can see the water thru a view port and can easily tell when the water needs to be changed. If you are cleaning new or near new records, the water will last a long time. If you are cleaning old, dirty records, perhaps change the water once every 10 records. ... show more

This is a complete game changer when you are cleaning your vinyl. It works exceptionally well and you can move quickly through a stack of vinyl. I cleaned thousands with my humminguru so far which works excellent also, bit having the automatic dispenser saves alit of time. Plus I think the water levels are way more accurate using this. It also seems to filter the water alot better. I highly recommend this add on if you use the humminguru system...which I also highly recommend! ... show more

Definitely a luxury as the main unit is already pricey. However, if you can swing it, this thing is awesome. It has pre-measured buttons for 12" and 7" as well as a manual button for tapping and adding whatever amount you need. What I do is hit the 12" pre-measure and dip the record in. I then lift the record out and look at the water line created. If it is not hitting the dead wax yet, I tap the manual button to give it a little more water. Such a breeze to use and I can never go back to the manual tank. Very good upgrade! ... show more

If you own the new Nova, this is a must. It just saves so much time vs. manual cleaning and it's cleaner in regards to water staying where it needs to stay- in the unit and not on or around it. There is no additional noise and the fit is amazing when connecting to the new tank as well as the Nova. It does wiggle oh so slightly while in the Nova. No big whup. Compatible? Yeah, it's specifically made for the Nova. I don't know if the electronics would be fouled without the black water guide, but the guide in place does make it very easy to add water quickly and be accurate about it. Appearance is a complete match as it synergistically matches the Nova. It's expensive for what it is, but if you own the Nova, you want it, and you want it bad. Lol. It's worth it. ... show more

What I love about the dispenser it helps expedite the cleaning process. It properly dispenses the right amount of water per vinyl size. Also reuses the water so you’re not constantly having to fill it up. Now that being said it does have a light so you can see how dirty the water is once the record cleaning machine runs its cycle. Even if you want to use new water each time that is also pretty easy. I definitely recommend getting this if you plan on cleaning a bunch of records at a given time. ... show more

    • Atrocious Quality Control and Serious Design Flaws

I sometimes wonder whether the “verified purchase” reviews on Amazon are written by family and employees of the company who purchase the product just to post “verified” positive reviews. I am a customer nit connected to HumminGuru, and I am very disappointed in the quality control for the HumminGuru Water Dispenser. I own the HumminGuru Ultrasonic Record Cleaner and, while it is plastic, I think it is genuinely well made. The HumminGuru Automatic Water Dispenser is cheaply made by comparison with atrocious quality contrail. First, when you open the box, there is an insert with a Caution to always use the “supplied water funnel” or risk spills that may cause water damage and damage to the cleaning machine itself. Pretty serious, no? Of course, the funnel is a cheap piece of plastic that probably costs HumminGuru 15 cents to make, but it is not supplied with the Water Dispenser (or was omitted from my box). Not a great start. Second, the water filter attachment, which is made of thin brittle plastic, could not properly attach to the lid because the interface on the lid was improperly cut (there were no slots cut out or allow the water filter prongs to slide into the interface). I had to use an Exacto knife to make the repair myself. Not cool at all. Third, the Water Pipe Lock (another, but more substantial, piece of plastic) would not lock because it, too, was improperly cut. Finally, unlike the original tank provided with the HumminGuru, the larger tank provided for the Water Dispenser has hard-plastic tabs to hold both the filter in place and to secure the main lid to the tank. It is hard to believe how thin, fragile, and brittle the tabs are on these two essential pieces—tabs that will have to hold up every time you fill the water tank or clean the filter. This is a ridiculous design flaw any reviewer actually using the product should call out, so I am dumbfounded that no one mentions this problem. I give the product two stars because the pump works. As I said, I wonder about the string of five star reviews for a product that is so cheaply made and that has such poor quality control. It’s shameful to charge $160 U.S. for an item that (a) cuts corners that undermine product durability, and (b) leaves the factory without all needed parts being included and functional. ... show more
