Ok so I have been looking for a specific tool to make clearing weeds out of the dirt edging I keep in front of my wooden flower beds for awhile. The edging is basically a 6” wide strip of dirt that separates my flower bed from the lawn so that my St Augustine does not grow under my wooden flower beds, and also so that I do not have to tear up my flower beds anymore with the gas trimmer. I had seen some tools that I thought would work, but they were wider than the edging I keep in front of the flower beds and I didn’t want a 9” wide strip. I had tried to shovel, hoe, weed eat it to keep it clear but it was a lot of effort. This thing is the perfect width, nice and sharp, and I just cleared 30ft of the edging in like 3 minutes. It’s probably longer than I need it to be, but you can just take a segment off to make it shorter. I also used the fork side to turn over a pile of clippings I’ve been letting mulch naturally. Hands down, this is great. It’s going to let me maintain that edge easily throughout the year and knock out any little weeds I see taking root. It’s not the thickest tubing, but it’s def not the thinnest tubing for a tool I’ve bought on Amazon. It sees sturdy enough for its intended use, just don’t use it as a lever or to dig up rocks maybe? But for weeding in non rocky soil, yeah I’m so happy I found this. Easy to use, multi-functional, and affordable. Highly recommend!
