  • FOR the RIGHT HAND DOMINATE
CONDITION I PURCHASED Condition: Used - Very Good - Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged. NOT NOTED IN CONDITION DESCRIPTION Item also came broken but repairable. The slide out cup holder was broken. It was chipping Wobbled. But for the low price it was easily replaceable. It still wobbles because adjusters do not lock in place very well. Had it not been fixed and the splinter pieces removed, it would not have been usable. This product is good for right hand dominate. I would benefit if there is a stationary section both left and right sides as opposed to right side only. Because I am left hand dominate. I am ambidextrous so I make it work. Would not recommend for travel. I did not care for the tilt top when transporting as it would often flap around and the legs would unfold themselves. Perhaps, if purchased in NEW condition transport would be a different experience. ... show more

  • Not really for shorties or shorties with deep couches
I got this after looking at several different models hoping it would help me stay in better posture as I recover from bicep and clavicle pain and tendonitis in both shoulders. I work from home and needed a better surface than my dog's back to rest my laptop. My couches and recliner are deep (normal depth just not great for my short stature). I may have experienced most of my cons because I'm 5'1" and 160 pounds. Pros: the tilt of the laptop stand is very smooth and easy to change, it appears very sturdy, it seems to be very good quality, the adjustable height helped with posture once I was settled down to work. Cons: I wanted to throw that netted pull out drawer against a wall--SO annoying how it flops basically right out every time I tried to lift the desk to get up. That drink divot is useless as well. I needed to set up my whole station on the stand and then I had to sit and slowly scoot back. It hurt my shoulders to become comfortable as I had to use them to scoot myself backwards under the desk. I needed to stay close to another surface so I could carefully pick up the desk and then scoot forward to get out. It aggravated my shoulders like crazy trying to make this work for me. Also, my dog was heartbroken that he had been replaced by something that didn't work well for me. ... show more

  • Working while ill - Not perfect, but still decent
UPDATE: Dropping this down from 3/5 to 2/5 stars because the wood got dry enough it got a huge crack through the middle of it. It was often used for 8 months before this happened. This has been a very handy little table for me recently. I’ve not been feeling my best, unfortunately, and I have been working part of the time from my bed. So this has become an important tool to my professional success. Here’s my thoughts on it after a couple months of regular use: Pros: -I like it has the wooden stopper for my computer or journal while the table is at an angle, and I REALLY appreciate I can remove the stopper when not in use -Bamboo is smooth and almost seamless transition from the part of the table that moves to the part that doesn’t -Once you get the legs locked in the right position it is fairly sturdy on a firm bed. -table legs are angles outward, giving you a little bit of extra side room -legs essentially double in length, if needed -The part of the table that tilts has a strong magnet, “locking” it in place when closed. - Although risky feeling, I do use the slight indent cup placement in the corner of the desk more than I thought I would - it can be used as a makeshift dinner table which is nice Cons: -it needed to air out for a couple of days, it had a very strong odor to it -that little wooden stopper is a little tall (which is good if you have a thicker laptop), and sometimes it is uncomfortable typing on my laptop because of it -not the roomiest under the desk. I can’t cross cross apple sauce my legs. It makes me think if you are overweight or if you like to have your legs be not straight out, this desk might not give you enough room to be comfortable -Only time I have concern about the sturdiness of the table is when I have the table at the highest tilt with my computer on it (usually during a video conference call), because then there is too much weight in the front, making the table lean towards me -If you want to fold away the legs and store your table, you have to put the legs back into its shortest position, so you CANNOT save the height position you like. - It’s not very ergonomic. It’s not made for long periods of usage. I usually type with keyboard in my lap and use my wireless mouse on my bed. Not ideal but it works for now -Although the table top magnetically locks into place, the legs do not. I’m about to slap some magnets on the legs myself just so they don’t fall open every time I go to pick them up. I feel like this was a big oversight when testing this product - Adjusting the heigh of the table does take coordination if you have items on the desk. Can be avoided by taking items off desk, flipping it to its side to adjust the height from there ... show more

  • Works best with something to set the legs on
Overall I really like this little desk! I bought it on sale and think it was a good choice. I like that the big part of the table can have an adjustable height, and that the legs change heights too. Seems solid and functional. Like others have said though, there's no way to lock the legs to standing; you can lock them to a certain height, but they may fold in. It also doesn't work great unless you have a solid surface to put under it, like a chair or the floor; placing it in your lap and hoping your lap will hold it up isn't very effective. I had hoped to use it on my patio with my folding chairs, and they just don't work great together. Lastly, it doesn't lock closed when folded up, so you have to be careful with how you carry it. Personally though, I think the downsides aren't deal breakers. I could probably lock it closed for carrying with ribbon or something, and I just have to be conscious of not knocking the legs in when it's standing up. ... show more
