Ok, I am a 70 year old female. With a bad back. I needed something that I could sit at and do my makeup, or stand at. This fits the bill exactly. Plus side, 4 drawers to hold makeup, and 2 levels to put the tissues and qtips etc up there. I was a lttile dismayed when I opened the box and saw all the pieces, but, I have put togeather lots of furniture in my life, (think Ikea) and I have NEVER seen the pieces so well marked and the instuctions so clear. Took me about an hour, but, I did it myself. Advice, each screw type was in it's own little packet. Each step of the instructions it will tell you how many of each screw type you need. Only take out that many from the packet so they don't get all mixed up. also, I had a battery screwdriver that speed things up. The up and down motor is very smooth and quiet. The media could not be loaded. Very happy with this desk! The motor is quiet, and the look is sleek. It took me about two hours to assemble (by myself) with a screwdriver (not provided) and a hex key (provided). The instructions are very clear - if you have a power tool or are faster at screwing things than I am, I bet this could be done in an hour. There are a couple things to note - I wish there had been some consideration of wires regarding the design. My previous desk was stationary, and I put a “pedestal” on it that had little wire holes in the back for things like a mouse and keyboard. I would happily give up the top two drawer spaces for better accessibility to accessories. (However, upon reflection, I may just transition to wireless accessories…) The other thing is again a design preference, and I may see if I can make modifications to accommodate what I’d like, but with a keyboard it’d be nice to be able to push the keyboard in underneath the top part of the desk (instead of drawers) to clear some space in the main desk area for other uses. These are just my preferences, but overall it’s a very nice desk and very very sturdy. I originally set up my second monitor on it and had no concerns with weight - it’s just a quirk of the monitor that I have that it felt too tall once in a fully standing position. Overall, definitely worth the price, surprised it’s not at a higher cost tbh. Recommend! ... show more
