I sometimes roll my cutting mats to get something small or fine off them. (When using card stock)But these are more brittle than the original cricuit mats and break. So unfortunately I would not recommend them for that purpose. But they have a good grip and hold well. Also seem to leave deeper groves in the mats from cutting. If they made them with a little more give they would be a great replacement for cricuit machines. If cost is all that matters then these are a great price and do the job they need to, well.

I love the htvront brand mats for my explore air 2. I prefer these over the cricut brand. I use htvront vinyl as well. These mats feel sturdier than the cricut brand. I don't stress if something sticks to it as these come in a multi pack. I can finish my project with a new mat. Then I can take the time to scrap off whatever stuck to the mat with the little yellow scraper that comes with the mats. Wipe the mat with a wet cloth, and they are good as new.

The standard grip is actually SUPER sticky. I had to trash a few projects due to it not coming off of these things. I used regular sticker paper and it wouldn't come off due to the stickiness. If you're looking for something not as sticky maybe get the light grip then.

Normally I buy Cricut brand mats for my Maker 3. I bought these because it was a multi-pack at a decent price. They offered free returns so I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I have been pleasantly surprised at how awesome these mats are. I wipe it down after each session with a Huggies baby wipe and I’m still using the first mat out of the pack. Highly recommend these mats!!!
