This is the absolute best, most comprehensive documentation about carburetors used on Chevrolet Corvairs. This book explains in detail how they work, how to disassemble, clean, and overhaul them, and it is far better than even the official Chevrolet Corvair service and training manuals. The author did a phantastic job researching all Corvair carburetors and detailing the correct jet sizes, settings, etc. He also included a very useful section on troubleshooting Corvair carburetor problems. The book is very well illustrated with close-up photos of the various carburetor details, very helpful when working on these carburetors ! Furthermore, it contains excellent drawings that explain the various carburetor functions which is a really useful feature, i.e. to understand how these carburetors were designed to work. In summary, this is a tremendously useful book for anybody who owns a Corvair automobile; the author deserves credit and our thanks for having put such an incredibly useful documentation together. ... show more

I was excited to get this book before a carb rebuild. This book was useless. It does not have useful pictures or diagrams, and has a chapter dedicated to rebuilding that basically says rebuild it.
