This electric dirt bike is an excellent introduction for younger riders, with a manageable 9 MPH max speed that lets them enjoy the thrill of riding without being too fast. The bike’s small size and 120LB max weight limit make it ideal for kids around 5+ years old, and my child has loved every minute of it. The 300W motor provides decent power for flat terrain, and the 9-mile range is perfect for short rides around the neighborhood or at the park. The 12” off-road tires are a nice feature, giving the bike good traction on grass, dirt, and light gravel. My child has ridden it on different surfaces, and the bike handles well without slipping. The rear disc brake is another highlight—it offers reliable stopping power, which gives me peace of mind as a parent. Got this for my 7 year old son who loves this, but your kid better know how to ride a bike first! the tires are pretty wide and you are able to balance this pretty easily. It works well in shallow grass and shallow dirt, but if you try and take this is really thick grass or really thick and soft dirt you are going to get stuck. for first time I would def make sure to have gloves, arm pads and helmet. You def have some speed, and the very first time you hit the "gas" you take off quick. Overall the ride time and charge time is as advertised and no issues here. The power button can be easy to turn off so you have to be aware of where it is. If the power turns off all the sudden, that is very likely the issue. There is some plastic on this bike, so if you crash on cement/black top it is going to break, which is just like a real motor cycle. Grass is more foregiving if you crash or just drop the bike. Be careful when placing the kickstand on grass. This does have weight to it, so it can sink in the dirt and fall over easier than a bike. For x-mas this would be an amazing gift, and more fun than the little electric cars my other son had. You can just do more on it. ... show more

My son received this as a gift. He loved it! Good machine with a design flaw or two: 1) Kickstand is not angled properly and 2) the power switch is in a location in which it gets bumped by his leg and turned off inadvertently. And then one day he crashed....and the plastic broke around the handle where all the power controls are located. No choice but to trash it unfortunately. No fixing that! ... show more

The 300W Electric Dirt Bike by Hover-1, is a huge hit for the smaller kids that’s fun to ride, with good power and 36V lithium-ion battery. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and a few things to consider before buying. I. Quality – Its good quality for this type of dirt bike. It feels durable enough to last for a good amount of time or until you’re the kids outgrow it. I’d put it in the upper-middle level of the quality scale for kids e-bikes. II. Performance – The performance was actually solid for what it is. The 9mph speed, 9-mile distance and 120lb max offers a lot fun. The top speed is good for most kids small enough to ride it and last a beginner for a while still providing a decent get around after. The tires and height are adequate for what it is and provides a good enough ride to be a huge hit around here. It would be nice if it had shocks like another one I have. Any kid small enough, wants to try it out and even some that are too big. The charge last for a fair amount of time, but that can vary wildly depending on the speed it’s used at. 300W motor is good for how little it is and will provide a good amount of fun and capabilities. The looks are great and it even includes fake exhaust out the back. Overall, this is a great little choice for the right age and sized kid. It’ll provide some great capabilities that’ll be enjoyed for hours if you have the right environment around. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product.
