Light scent - but big issue getting the paper to lie flat - oh my - laying this is for sure a two man operation unless it is a short space like the size of a drawer - my trick was to have other shelf liner jut over lap this by an inch since the shelf is wide and I wanted some bug protection along the back - also the bark if you would peels off in small thin strips - again, for the price and for an area that is seldom used and for a bit of protection this works... ... show more

I've seen a lot of bad reviews on this product, but I will say it worked for what I was wanting. We moved into a house and our first winter we found there was a mouse issue. We tried everything, even hiring an exterminator. After researching several natural ways to take care of our issue, cedar was a suggestion. I was looking for something to place in my kitchen draws that mice did not like. I saw these cedar liners and for the price I thought I would give them a try. They are very thin, easy to cut, and have a cedar cent. I cut and placed one strip on the bottom of each of my kitchen drawers and in the cabinets. Then I placed my organizers on top. It comes in a roll so it continues to roll back up until you have flattened it for several days. Since doing this, we have not had an issue with mice. This price does match the quality of the product, cheep. I would not recommend it for areas you are taking items on and off of the liner all the time, it will shred and fall apart. But if you have organizers you will be placing on top that you don't move often, it will hold up and do the job. ... show more

    • Great Sturdy Hanger BUT NO CEDAR SMELL

So this is the perfect coat hanger: beautifully shaped, strong, well crafted. However, it must have been manufactured over three years ago as it has absolutely NO CEDAR SMELL. I expect to have to sand my cedar hangers about once every 2-3 years to refresh the scent. But I don't expect to have to do it the day it arrives. Really a pain. And at this price point it's really not acceptable. If they have a bunch of unsold inventory laying around, they should sand it (or at least spray it with cedar oil) before they send it out. If it smelled like cedar it would be a five star review. Instead, I used three stars, and even considered using two. ... show more

I wanted to like this. I thought this was going to be thin wood, like veneer. It is extremely paper thin wood glued to a paper backing. It was chipping and peeling off in parts. I ended up returning it.

Could be luck, could be they've improved their manufacturing and/or quality control, but the two I ordered were both very smooth and well sanded. I'd seen reviews that complained about this, so I was hesitant - but I'm glad I took the chance on them. I'll buy these again when I need more.
