Based on: One normally buys boots a half size smaller than their sneaker size.. I wear a US10 in sneakers and get 9.5 in *most* boots (Wolverine, some doc, Barbour, etc.), and as such, based on the recommendations in these reviews... I ordered a 9 as many of the reviews said the boots run BIG; they do and they don't...the 9 felt roomy for a 9 (but not 9.5). So, ordered a 10...whiiiiich feels like a 10 (wearing normal socks (not double, not thick and not dress or 'fitness socks' - plain old normal socks. They are a wider boot in the toe box and the 10 width is (duh) wider than the 9 so there is a bit more room. If you are on the fence, get your REAL size and put in some real insoles if they feel a bit large, in fact, even if they feel find, replace the, anyway as the stock insoles are 100% flat/thin garbage). NOTE: in the photo those other docs ('Pier' no longer made, are US10s as well, which also had 'runs big' in reviews...again, feet are weird).

We needed to find shoes for our son who was leaving for 2 years on a mission. We needed to find shoes that would last 2 years, and be one of 3 pairs of shoes he would be wearing everyday, where he'd be walking miles and miles or riding a bike or working doing service in and around all kinds of environments. These were the best black boots we could find anywhere! We knew we needed doc's and the price on these were the best ones all over the Internet! Not bad to get them *worn in* a little so they wouldn't hurt. They look sharp. We will come back and check in six months from now. But for now they are a dream come true!

No other boot comes close to my Docs'. Because of my work, I do 20,000 to 25,000 steps a night, and no other brand can take that amount of abuse. I have wide feet, and I break thru all other brands. If you are looking for durable and most comfortable footware, you need not look any further. Dr Martin's boots rule the footware-world.

The show is comfortable and robust and just what I need going into the cold. The styling and fit is consistent with Dr Martens products. The leather does give and molded the shape of my foot after a few hours of wear. The sizing on the website was confusing as it is a unisex shoe. Found out that it is the US Mens size which appeared on drop down menu.

I'm IN LOVE with these boots! They are so comfortable! Very nice cushion in the sole, plenty of room in the toe box (which can be tough for my foot shape!), and overall excellent support. I can tell these are going to be my new favorites!!!

The quality and material is really good, they’re very light. A bit stiff but I think they just need to be worn a bit. Before buying, I am glad that I looked at the reviews. I was gonna buy a mens 9 size. But a few people say it was way too big compared to their shoe size and dropped 2 or 1 size down, I dropped to a 7 and they fit fantastic! Love the boots and I would definitely recommend these.

Needed some combat boots for a trip to the west coast and I LOVE these. I didn’t have time to break them in before the trip and was worried they would cause a lot of pain but they were perfect. I didn’t experience any pain or soreness and I walked all around San Francisco and through the airport on a cross country trip with no problem. They are also SO cute and great add to my wardrobe The only thing I would say is that the sizing can be a little hard. I am an 8.5 and the other comments said order down so I ordered a 7 and they feel fine but I probably could have sized down even further. Anyway with regular socks they are fine and with thicker socks they are perfect so I still feel good about the purchase!
