A traditional hamper takes up valuable floor space and so I asked my husband to see what he could find. We found this bag and it looked like just what we needed. It hangs on the edge of the changing table and I love it! Pros - The hook is not in a fixed position and moves around where you can hang it to whatever angle you need. - It is made of good quality canvas with secure stitching. - It washes great! The first time I washed it I found it slides easily off the frame and though I was expecting to feel and see a difference in the canvas after a washing, I was pleasantly surprised to find I could not even tell it had been through the wash! - The size is spot on. This hamper easily holds a weeks worth of laundry for my two active, messy little boys. But it is not so big that it gets in the way or looks gaudy. - It carries easily. Even though the hook moves around, when you pick it up by the hook, the hook slides into the locked position and the frame remains stable and it is not awkward or hard to carry around. Cons - If you are hanging the hook on a bar or rail there is the possibility that it can slide up and down. FYI: The bright, clean, white canvas seems ideal for monogramming initials or an iron on patch. I bought one of these hampers through Walmart Site to Store but the whole process was a horrible hassle! I came to Amazon to buy more. I should have looked on Amazon first! I got the bag home and hung it on my door and saw what a simple but great idea this is. I am injured and can not pick up a heavy basket. But I did not want something obvious and ugly hanging around my room. This bag hides discreetly behind the bedroom door. It is a nice, thick, plain canvas with no silly, stupid decorations on it. The heavy duty hanger does exactly what the description says, holds the hamper open so it does not take 2 hands to fumble with, trying to cram the laundry in. The bag easily comes off the hanger. It has a nice, thick canvas pull strap to close the bag once off the hanger. I can, with my good hand, take the hanger off the bag and put it back on. Plus, you can wash the canvas bag if it starts getting dirty and needs to be washed. Like I said, I have purchased one, just to make sure it was not junk. I did not want to have to return 5 of these. I really like it, it is a smart design, saves floor space, holds a lot laundry and costs around $10.00. It is a great deal. I was happy to see Amazon carried them, but who was I kidding, Amazon carries everything! I will use one more for my bathroom to throw towels in, some in my teen boys' rooms, and might hang one in the garage. I might even buy more for the kitchen to throw towels in. I’m not sure this is exactly what I was looking for but it has actually turned out to work okay. The top where the clothes go in is kind of smaller than I wanted. And the way it hangs is a little strange, it doesn’t seem to hang straight. I wish that it had a way to hang over a door but I just bought an over the door hook to hang it on and that works great. I do love the canvas material. It is very sturdy and thick. I also love that it can be washed. The bag itself is the perfect size. I like that it opens up floor space because it hangs rather than a laundry hamper that sits on the floor. I can imagine this would also be a good thing at to store kids stuffed animals or toys. It could also easily be hung in a closet on the rack, which would be handy. I just don’t have the closet space for that. Overall this product has worked well for me and my space. ... show more

I ordered two of these hanging canvas bags, and they are wonderful. I almost ordered a couple of pop-up hampers, but I have a tiny house and a tiny, tiny bathroom. No room in the bathroom for a pop-up. The laundry basket I've been using moves in a out of the tub to make room to reach the sink. Ridiculous. I suddenly realized I could hang these anywhere. We have latches, not door knobs, but I started thinking a little more creatively and decided to hang one on a hook under my bathroom counter and one on my closet rod in my narrow bedroom closet. Perfect. The opening at the top of the bag is quite wide, about six inches, which makes these easy to fill or empty. There's also a zippered opening in the back. They are sturdy and good looking with simple clean lines. I'm sure pop-ups are handy in some situations, but if you are space deprived, these hanging bags really do the trick. After years of trying other unsuccessful laundry storage options, problem solved, affordably. Two years later I'm back for another. They are durable and so practical. I LOVE these hanging hampers.
