If you use flat hangers (typical plastic hangers) you will save space. However, using better hangers (that have some curvature to them) does not really save space because of their width.

Looks like the new gadget would follow destiny of other similar plastic hangers -- self-destruct amid pushing/pulling in a crowded closet! Am at a loss to see how real space can be saved with the concept. And there were clips provided presumably for heavyweight items. Did spend a few minutes trying to figure out how they fit in -- with no success.
