BOTTOM LINE: This is a handsome set of luggage at an affordable price. The colours and indentations in the shell read luxurious, and the feel is surprising and very pleasant. I am very glad I overcame my initial hesitation and ordered this set. Specifics below. THEY NEST: I never thought I would have to note this for a luggage set until my unfortunate purchase of two pieces at a National chain store a few years ago. Always check. These do. THE LOCKS: The setting process is very easy; only three intuitive steps that are easy to remember once you read the instructions. Each piece has its own (identical) set of instructions, so if you lose one, you have back up. Initially, the tumblers were stiff to turn. I have a slightly shredded thumb nail to attest. However, as I got them rolling the first time, I actually felt them loosening and the adjustment can now be done with the ball of my thumb. THE WHEELS: They roll beautifully. There’s hardly any friction. They are also raised, so if they are damaged by the airline, they can be replaced. COLOUR, SHELL, ZIPPERS: Speaking of aircraft, I am calling these my private plane luggage because the main colour is simply not conducive to nicks, scratches, tosses and the dirty conveyor belts of commercial travel. 😏 But I do not care. They are gorgeous now. I will count the inevitable blemishes as memories of my trips. The hard plastic shell almost feels as if it was velveted, and the faux leather trim feels a lot like the real thing. The zippers are strong and run exceptionally smoothly. SPACE: Hard shell luggage does not have outer pockets. It’s one of the reasons that I don’t usually purchase them. As a frequent traveller, I like the convenience of pushing (a thing) in the pocket of my carry-on. These are no different. The inner packing space is also standard with plastic zippered panels to keep your clothing in place in both halves of the suitcase. Please note that there is no stuff-packing with this set. There is no give.

Okay, full disclosure: I didn’t even expect much when I ordered this Hoteel luggage set in beige—I just wanted something light and neutral that wouldn’t be mistaken for everyone else’s navy or black bag at the airport. But wow, I was pleasantly surprised. The set includes a 20″ carry-on plus bigger checked sizes (24″ and 28″), and they all feel sturdy without being heavy or awkward to roll around the house. What I love is that the ABS+PC shell stands up to real travel messes—tossing it into the trunk, dragging it through puddles, even that one time the toddler leaned on it like it was a jungle gym and still no warping, cracking, or rattling ramekins inside. It just feels solid. The spinner wheels glide so smoothly that pulling them through a busy terminal almost feels meditative. I used all three sizes on a recent family trip: the carry-on for snacks and entertainment gear, the medium for our clothes, and the large one for everyone’s winter coats and extra blankets. No shifting mess inside and no backache from lugging them—it felt surprisingly easy. Oh—and the built-in TSA locks were a comfort. They’re one less thing to worry about with curious little hands around. Fully zipped, locked, and done. Would I buy it again? Yep. This set of luggage looks classy with its beige and tan color scheme and I like that the entire set nests together for convenient storage. The 20" size is perfect as a carryon and (I believe) should be accepted at any airline. The 24" and 28" can be checked and used for longer trips. The handles extend easily and the wheels roll smoothly in any direction. Zippers run smoothly as well. Each piece is lightweight, so you aren't adding tons of extra weight to carry around. The shell is slightly flexible, with a bit of give to it and comparable to other ABS+PC sets I own. It isn't completely stiff like more old school, heavy plastic luggage. So far, I haven't had any issues with durability. I was concerned the light color was going to get scuffed up, but I was able to wipe dirt marks off the outside with a damp cloth. Nice set and good price.

To start with this is a pretty inexpensive set of three pieces of luggage. With that it is a relatively low quality set of three piece luggage as well. The color is just like the pictures and looks great. The size is as described and I aboslutely love that all three pieces nest. It makes it so much easier for storage. They roll pretty well but the wheels don't seem to be super high quality. Therefore with that the the seemingly potential lack of durability and relatively low build quality I am not sure how well these are really going to travel especially with the way luggage is handled on and off planes and throuhgout the airports. Only one way to find out. I will be flying soon and plan to use at least one piece of this luggage on that trip. Will update as needed to express my hopeful joy in the quality or my sadness in how it fell apart and my clothes went all over the tarmac.

These package of three suitcases looks like a good deal, but upon receiving them I am little bit disappointed/confused on their quality. They feel cheap, they are super light though, but look fragile that I am not positive I will want to use them on a flight, given the treatment that suitcases receive these days on the airports. The size is appropriate for luggage, and don't think will qualify as carry on on most airlines, too big for that, the color is nice as well, but I assure you it will get dirty pretty quick. So it will be a good purchase, but for travel on car or bus only, and I will highly recommend them for that, but I am not sure I will trust them on scenarios in which they will be completely "unattended"
