The instructions are clear, step-by-step, and come with helpful photos that make putting it together quick and frustration-free. We had the whole Star Command adventure up and running in under 15 minutes. Colorful, Action-Packed Design The track looks absolutely vibrant and eye-catching with its bright colors, towering crane, shipping container, swinging log obstacle, and multi-level tower. It screams "Toy Story 5" energy the second you see it. The Thrilling Buzz Launch Experience! Here's where the real magic happens: Load up the 1:64 scale die-cast Hot Wheels Superstar Speeders Hi-Tech Buzz Lightyear (with his non-removable Hi-Tech Buzz figure looking heroic in his custom Hot Wheels car) into the launcher. Push the button... and WHOOSH — he rockets around the track at superfast speeds! This track set is decent, but it definitely has its flaws. Setting it up requires standard assembly, and it comes with stickers that you have to apply. I actually put them on after building it without any real issues. One major downside, which seems typical for Hot Wheels, is that once the pieces snap together, they don't come apart, except for the launcher. Because of this, it permanently takes up a ton of room. Out of the box, the car just kept crashing. Be sure you have this on floor and not carpet. Check to see if those flimsy poles support are not slanted even a bit. Any shift will make the track tilt. After running it through over 50 test launches to troubleshoot, I figured out how to increase the success rate. It is highly picky about which cars it works with; they need newer, smooth-gliding axles to even stand a chance. Even the included Buzz Lightyear car crashes constantly. Make sure the brown spinner is position in a way that it doesn’t block the path. If two prongs are facing the road, the chances of abuzz crashing is much higher. If one prong is on the road, it’s 100% work! You can help younger children to reposition the spinner before they launch it if they get too frustrated. The set is tied to an upcoming movie, but since we haven't seen it yet, the theme doesn't mean much to us right now. The main gimmick is that if a car successfully completes the loop five times, the command center lid flips open to reveal a sticker. It’s a very fast cause-and-effect feature that easily gets missed if kids aren't staring directly at it. Additionally, the automatic return crane's timing can be slightly off; twice during my testing, it left the post too early and completely missed the car, though it usually works. Ultimately, make sure you have the dedicated floor space to store this because you won't be breaking it down. It’s fun for a quick session, but it doesn't hold attention for very long. It still gets played with for a few minutes a day, but it’s not a standout toy.

Like all Hot Wheels toys, this is high quality and made to take a beating. The while thing operates with basically one action, which is the lever you slam down to launch Buzz Lightyear. Once he makes it around the loop, he catches a ride on the crane which continues the momentum and spins him around to the reset point, where he falls back to the starting point and the crane resets itself to it's natural resting position again. All of this is cleverly designed just right with weight and size so that things continually loop as long as you keep launching Buzz with enough energy. With things engineered to such fine specifications, it's really impressive how things keep working even when my toddler aggressively hammer fists the launcher or knocks it over. It's been one month of this taking a beating and it still working great without issue. I have only had Buzz not reset automatically once early on and haven't noticed the issue repeat itself again after dozens of launches. At $37, this is an excellent price for this unique Hot Wheels toy. The only bummer here is that it doesn't connect to other Hot Wheels tracks.

My kids had a lot of fun with this Buzz Lightyear space adventure car track set, especially launching the car and watching it try to make the jump into the moving container. The bright colors, tower, obstacle, and action features make it feel more exciting than a basic track, and it keeps them engaged for repeat play. Setup was pretty simple, and the included Buzz Lightyear character car feels sturdy and fun to race. It does work best on a flat floor and may need a little adjusting when the car crashes or the crane does not reset perfectly, but overall it is a fun gift for kids who like cars and action play.

This is a great hot wheels track, both my kids have been enjoying playing with it. What I love most about it is that it’s able to do a complete circle (it finishes where it started unless it gets knocked off by the branch). Buzz’s car goes into the yellow cage and it swings it back to the start. It’s easy for a younger kid to reset, you just push the level down and it pulls the shoot back. You press a button to release it and fling the car forward. Sometimes the yellow cage portion doesn’t reset all the way back but we just make sure it’s pushed all the way back in manually. Not usually a big deal, you just want to make sure it’s set all the way if you’re wanting buzz’s car to make it back to the starting point. The colors go well with the theme and I was able to assemble and get the stickers on it pretty quickly. The pieces feel durable and click together easily. You can also use the pieces with other compatible hot wheels tracks if you want to make your own design. Impressed with this set and love the design of it!

This is a nice little track and the kids had fun using it. It was easy to build. The track parts seem durable and is a nice size you can easily move as you play. However, something that I noticed that dropped the stars for me is the reset lever will stop working if anything stop the crane arm from moving and I mean a little bump will cause it. I had to work on taking the track apart several times to fix the issue. So not really good for younger kids for the price.
