I bought this truck for my 5yo son as a gift for Christmas 9 months ago and he has had so much fun with it. He runs it all over our 2 acre yard doing races and jumps. My 4 year old grandson saw this at Costco & wanted it for Christmas. He kept asking his mom to “pinky-promise “ that Santa would bring it. Well Grandma @ Grandpa got the order & Amazon was a few dollars cheaper so the order was awarded to Amazon. We had one extremely happy little boy Christmas Day. The truck is lightweight & runs very well. One reviewer suggested getting grip tape to stick on treads so it would climb better. We found a roll at Lowes ($10) & gave it to his dad to try.     • Overall good purchase, however….
After unwrapping this present, I was a little disappointed to see that the tires were made out of Styrofoam. My son didn’t even get it outside (driving it around the living room) before little tiny chips of the Styrofoam began falling off the tires… Granted, I do feel that if the tires were made of a different material. It may not be able to climb And navigate all the different terrain outside- like advertised , it just stinks that the tires will probably not last very long due to the material they are made of. My son absolutely loves it so I feel like for the price I paid I know that he will get all the use out of it, it just may not be a toy. We bought this for our almost 5-years-old grandson. Although he already had a faster off-road RC car, it was not as large as his brother's Grave Digger and El Torro from this series. Now he is happy!
