The tongs were working great at first, however, after just 6 months the largest tong started to fall apart. It now doesn't completely close anymore making it difficult to pick up things on the grill. I expected these to last much longer considering that the description says "heavy duty". Updated (10/23/2017) The seller reached out to me and offered a no question money back guarantee or replacement. I have opted for the replacement and promptly received it in the mail. ... seriously, though - these three sizes cover all the needs for grabbing things in the kitchen: small: lives by the toaster so little persons with fear of hot things can grab onto breads and such without fear,also grabs tea bags from boiling cauldron, perfect size for smaller jobs or smaller hands learning their way around kitchen medium: wanders from counter to counter and serves as grabber for grilled items offa inside grill / pasta wrangler / salad tosser [stop thinking that!] / salad server / desert server in a pinch large: mostly lives outside doing hard duty moving sizzling flesh [okay okay - some vegetables] around on outside grill, recently used to dig around under deck for missing dog toy practically speaking: they are quite tough, super easy to clean and have so far been pretty impervious to all the abuse dished out here in this circus called home second set is being ordered ... show more

I loved these when I purchased for myself a few months ago. I thought, how is it that I've gone 52 years without knowing how useful these are? So I went "off the list" and got them for my niece's bridal show. I already got the thank you note, saying they had used the tongs and they were great. And I sent a set to my sister-in-law because she was saying she had never used them before...and her birthday was coming up so it was a fun thing to just sent them to her. My hubby said "oh I could use these for the car" but I draw the line there and he's not getting his hands on them in any size. But great for turning things in broiler or a pan. Plating in the kitchen. Just super handy to have around. And the tab to pull to keep them closed is nice because then they have a slimmer footprint for storage. ... show more

I purchased these tongs after purchasing a very nice set of pots and pans. All the tongs I had were metal tipped, and I didn't want any using them on my new pots and pans. These have been great. The grip food easily. Having 3 different sizes it perfect depending on what I am cooking. My husband used the largest one on the grill and it still looks as good as new. (However, I told him to use the tongs meant for the grill!!) The only problem would be the lock doesn't hold very well. I have had them pop open a couple of times, but considering how great they are to use, I can deal with that. The look nice in my utensil holder with the other items. They wash well. So far no rust issues. I do not wash them in the dishwasher, but I don't know why you couldn't. Overall, I really like this set. I would recommend them to anyone. ... show more

I waited to leave a review for these, as I do with all tool type items, until I'd used them enough to be able to give an accurate review of them. That said, I feel like this is a really good set of silicone tipped tongs. They clean, lock, and unlock easily, the sizes are a nice mix, and the construction is sturdy but lightweight. For silicone tipped tongs, which I needed for my ceramic pans, these are the best I've found (especially for the price.) Like all silicone tongs, though, these don't give you a whole lot of grip on anything you're picking up - so you need to scoop one side under the item, like a spatula, and use the other side to pinch and brace it from the top. If you try to pick delicate items, like pot stickers, up from the sides, you'd have to use so much pressure to keep them from sliding out that you'd end up squishing them. But, as I mentioned before, that's the case with every single set of silicone tipped tongs I've owned - you just learn to use them differently than you do metal tongs. Highly recommend this set as a beginners set and wish the company offered them as individuals as well so that I can pick up another each of the small and medium sizes. ... show more

This is a great set. We upgraded to a new ceramic pot set and wanted something that wouldn’t scratch the pans up. This came with three pieces that we’ve used for flipping things when frying, removing items from air fryer, pasta, salad and more. The little handle at the end keeps them at whatever size opening you choose and isn’t a pain like the little loops/metal rings in other sets I’ve had. Definitely a good purchase. ... show more

I absolutely LOVE these HOT TARGET tongs! I bought them in less than a day after buying the Ninja Foodi, as the Foodi requires only nonstick tools. Once I began my search, it became clear that HOT TARGET tongs are very popular. And I did read several reviews and am happy to say I’ve joined the many highly satisfied customers now that I’ve owned them a couple of weeks. First of all, the lock feature is not to be dismissed. It really does save space in the drawer, if you put them in a drawer as I do. But you CAN hang them if you’d like, as they also have the handy loop at the top. Secondly, they are very nicely heat resistant. They are also quite sturdy. Now, you can’t pick up really heavy items with the smallest of the 3 tongs but you wouldn’t normally do that anyway, just use the right tong for the right job. I really like how easily they clean up as well. The pads are nice and thick, they don’t pull off the metal as you wash them, they stay right there. The colors really are attractive, I will admit. When I first started reading reviews, I wondered why people were getting excited about the colors, but they are great and also functional, it’s pretty easy to see dirt/food up against the pads when washing them. They have a good weight distribution, a good in-your-hand feel, as well. And they are priced very reasonably. These babies go perfectly with the Ninja Foodi and I assume any similar appliance that requires nonstick tongs! ... show more
