Hot Racing adjustable aluminum steering bell crank and servo saver for the Traxxas X-Maxx 6S and 8S FEATURES: - Super-tough, fully adjustable servo saver bell crank - Replaces factory plastic for a stronger-than-standard stock steering system - CNC machined aluminum construction - Reuses factory ball bearings for smooth operation - Retains stock double shear design for ultimate reliability - Adjustable servo saver springs for different tension - Two servo saver springs to suit preference. Black (installed) is same as stock Traxxas, silver is stiffer than stock - Anodized blue and black for durability, corrosion resistance, and aesthetics YOU WILL RECEIVE: - One (1) assembled steering bell crank - One (1) aluminum draglink - One (1) silver hard stiffness servo saver spring - One (1) black medium stiffness servo saver spring REQUIREMENTS: - Requires use of the stock bearings and some of the stock hardware - Medium thread lock (e. g. blue Loctite) on screws threading into metal - Optional use of a grease lubricant on servo saver cam surfaces can smooth servo saver action and prolong life COMMENTS: - Replaces most of Traxxas 7746 steering components - Replacement Hot Racing draglink is part number XMX4906 - Complements Hot Racing XMX48A06 servo horn and XMX48P06 steering link

My steering is better than new on my X-Max 8S,, Traxxas should use this part when building the RC Truck!! It’s a must have for any X-Max owner,, precise steering, quick response,, fine-tuned steering,, comparing to stock,, feels like a power steering kit!!! This item is well made,, well crafted,, high end aluminum parts,, beautiful actually,, heavy duty,, also sent two servo saver springs,, stiff and stiffer,, but way better than the Traxxas upgraded or servo saver spring the offer for the new servo 2805X,, I’m very happy,, it’s like driving a different RC,, like it has dual steering servos now!!! When in the Xmaxx, I can barely get a couple fingers on it and I'm only able to turn it about 1/8th of a turn at a time with pliers. What's worse, it slowly loosens up over time (from turning I'm guessing?) so I had to put some loctite on it, I just hope it stays. Wish it was easier to adjust, but I suppose you should only have to set it once. ... show more

Make sure you take apart and grease the surface on servo saver. Other wise you will eat through servos. I learned this the hard way

I am experiencing the same problem but I have the old service with plastic horn gearwhich lasts about 10 minutes I didn't notice any improvement from all aluminum minus the two belcranks I was about to buy the new x servo but apparently doesn't resove the issue I may have to take a loss and pull this product out. Typical Traxxas issue where an upgrade creates a failure point at the weak link ... show more
