Needed piece of furniture to fill a space in lake house kitchen. Cabinets, counter, and backsplash are white, table is white with brown top and there is brown in curtains, linens, and art. Either white or rustic brown would have worked. Decided on brown to add warmth to the room. Piece was made for the spot - perfect width, depth, height and color. Thought the wood would have rough edges, but while it looks rustic, with interesting color variations, the surface is (thankfully) completely smooth. All pieces were labeled and in excellent condition, with clearly marked screw spots and all hardware was included. Took forever to assemble by myself, but instructions with diagrams were easy to understand and it was a good exercise in spatial relations and mental focus. Thanks to poster who recommended putting back piece (#10) on before the second side. My only mistake was reversing the drawer DL and DR pieces. Drawers wouldn’t close flush with the edge of the cabinet and flopped around upon opening. Reread directions, swapped the pieces and, wala, drawers functioned perfectly. Getting doors to line up took time, but instructions helped with adjustments. I'm a very satisfied customer. ... show more

I was looking for something to replace an old buffet that wasn’t sturdy to begin with. I looked for over a year because I had specific length requirements and I wanted the bottom to be open due to an air vent on the wall. I found this on Amazon recently, and I decided to take a chance. It took my husband about an hour to put this together. All pieces were undamaged and directions we clear. I added a painted Dollar General arch mirror and hung it above the hutch. We love this console for its size and storage in our mobile home. It was quite a project to assemble and one step in the process was wrong, but we were able to figure it out (this the reason for four stars). Otherwise, we are really enjoying this attractive and sturdy piece of furniture.

I did as a couple others have suggested and glued the wooden dowels into place. This was an extra and perhaps unnecessary step, but I had time to do it, so I did it. Also, someone else had cautioned to make sure that the back panel is in place before installing the second pair of legs. The instructions DO show that, but the picture of the back panel can get lost in the noise of all the other parts and fasteners. It would have been clearer to split the steps into two separate diagrams (back panel, then legs) but there is no omission in the instructions. I like the fact that the legs are made of real wood, which kind of surprised me for the price. All in all, this is a well-made piece of furniture. Everything seemed to have lined up well. The only time that I needed an extra tool was to drill pilot holes for the back panel clips. Perhaps not necessary, but it made my life easier. I also like the fact that the manufacturer included extra fasteners in the event that some screws got lost or messed up. ... show more

I love this cabinet! Very happy with my purchase. It's not high end material or quality, but it's perfect for the price and for what I needed. It is not lose, and is not coming apart in any way. Doors and drawers close perfectly. No scratches or defective parts. Color is great too!

Make sure you slide back veneer piece in before securing other parts. Don’t put on the fake round stickers. Not worth the hassle and they don’t show. Put them on later if you see one that bothers you. We didn’t put the clips on the back of the veneer either. Doors will be easy to install if you hold them tightly in place. Need two people for that step and they can be adjusted. Otherwise, we had no problem putting it together and we like it. ... show more

I love this cabinet! I bought it to use as a coffee bar. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because the counter top has a big scratch on it. But other than that it's beautiful! I highly recommend it!
