I won't actually be using this until springtime (it's February as I write this) so my review is on the quality of the item. I'll update the review when I actually use the rake. The main reason I ordered it is because we have a couple of pretty long paths and some other areas that we re-mulch every spring and at other times as needed. We use a hemlock mulch that is basically fairly chunky. I've been using a metal rake to help spread it, and it works okay, but trying to get the mulch spread really well takes some extra effort. So I'm hoping this tool will make the job much faster and easier. We also have a "country" lawn, it's green, and there is a lot of grass mixed in with the weeds, but is not manicured. It is on the bumpy side, which has not bothered us, but it would be nice to smooth some sections of it, e.g., for lawn games. So we're hoping the rake will perform in that regard as well. We're also going to be adding some top soil in spots, and the rake should work well for that too. That said: This is a heavy duty product, and I do very much expect that it will indeed perform as well as we expect it to. The rake is literally quite heavy, in a good way. Getting it into a pile of mulch and moving things around should be pretty easy. The rake also has horizontal slats that will allow for some mulch to pop up, which should actually help to spread it and even it out. The rake head angle can be adjusted by lifting up a bit on the handle, and that is an important feature. The weight of the rake should also do a good job of smoothing some of the bumpy areas of the lawn. We'll see... The handle sections -- good quality metal -- screw together easily, and unscrew as easily as needed as well, so it is easy to change the length. The handle quickly attaches to the rake with the supplied bolts and tools. Overall, this is a high quality item, and I expect it to work well and last for many years to come.

Really nicely made! I will admit, I did not look at the measurements much when I ordered this. I was so pleasantly surprised to see how wide the spreader is. The handle comes unassembled and is so tall when using all pieces. Too tall really, we assembled it with one less, but may end up removing another.

Super heavy duty item made of very sturdy materials and has a LONG handle. This will definitely accommodate a person over 6' tall. It's nice and wide, so it will also work well in large areas and take less time in the process. It's easy to put together by simply screwing the parts together. This will be great for getting our garden ready, as well as leveling out the area between our sidewalk and house.

This lawn rake comes in several sections that need to be tightened together to assembly, it is easy but takes a bit of force to make sure they are sturdy and rigid. The handle length with all pieces might be slightly too long for some people but I think it's added value considering you can remove one piece. The paint finish is even and seems durable. The rake head has a good amount of weight which helps it level out sand with ease. This is a quality tool and a good price.

I’ve been looking for a lawn leveling rake, and this one seemed like the perfect choice. My lawn is very uneven, and I’m always worried about twisting my ankle when walking on it.
