Pattern Name: Standard Horse Without Ears
First of all I need to say how very important this type of protection is for all horses. I wish I would have provided it for my horses when they were much younger. I will find out how much it's going to cost my gelding when he goes in for a growth on his eye next week. These masks fit all our horses perfectly and are super easy to use. I think thy will hold up very well with daily use and periodic cleanings. The price is very reasonable for the amount of protection they provide.

I have a rescue who has blue eyes with pink skin & needed a small malignancy on his eyelid removed (successfully, with borders, many years ago). Consequently, just to be safe, we have him wear a fly mask year round. We’ve gone through A LOT of masks. He removes them for one, but he also rubs easily at the bridge of his nose with most standard fly mask designs. He also has a pink nose &, for some reason, none of the extra uv blocking masks seem to have a nose attachment. All of my other horses love Cashels, so we tried him in those for comfort, even though they’re not as good on the uv, they’re better than nothing - but he’s a pony/draft/cob/something - who knows - & he’s not an easy fit, so the Cashel that fits him best ends up on the ground 75% of the time. All this to say, when I saw this one, I bought it immediately (horse size) & it’s, by far, the best fitting, most durable & (somehow?!) least expensive one he’s had. He’s been wearing it for about 6 months & I don’t think he’s taken it off yet, so he must agree that it’s a winner. I think I can speak for both of us by giving it 5 stars.

I love the fact this mask has UV eye protection But the UV material inside seems to bunch up and bother my horses eye. If the UV material was securely attached to the actual mask material it would be perfect and I would rate it 5 stars. Also, wish it came I multiple color choices. Thank you

Pattern Name: Standard Horse With Ears and nose
Love this mask for horse that has solar sensitive headshaking. 95% UV protection on eyes, but yet breathable on the rest of the mask. Long nose protects his white nose skin and is reinforced with an additional liner so that it is more durable than the Cashel long nose. The nose also is not as long or wide as the Cashel so it gives the nostrils a little more air. Yes, the ears on the mask are large as I had previously read, but not an issue.

Pattern Name: Standard Horse Without Ears Plus ...
This is actually a great fly mask but I have one small issue. Part of the mask is sewn together, giving it an odd fit at his ear. I'm going to try and cut the thread with the hope of not destroying the mask in the process. I have purchased 2 very expensive masks this season and both have been ruined for various reasons. I wanted to try a less expensive mask since my luck has been so bad this season! To be honest I wasn't expecting much from this mask. Much to my surprise, this is actually a good fly mask. My horse has pale blue eyes so he needs a built-in visor and this is excellent because the visor itself is darker than the rest of the mask providing sun protection. I will purchase this mask again as I do feel the quality is good and the fit is perfect for my horse. It is a good value for the cost.
