    • Excellent substitute for fresh milk

Overall: I use this in hot coffee and recipes that call for milk. It’s very useful to have on hand instead of constantly buying fresh milk, and I’ll definitely purchase it again. Taste: Good, though not exactly the same as fresh milk. (Not sure that’s possible with any powdered milk though.) Ease of use: It dissolves easily in hot, thin liquids with a little stirring. Dissolving in thicker liquids takes a bit more stirring but I didn’t need a whisk or blender. Price: Not the cheapest option, but IMO it’s worth the money because of the ingredients (organic milk from pasture-raised cows and very few fillers, all which I can pronounce). And I have actually saved money buying this instead of continually stocking fresh milk! Ethics: The best I found for any powdered milk because the cows are pasture raised. (I know, it’s exhausting to think about the ethical ramifications of basic groceries, but dairy cows in factory farms have a very bleak existence. Pasture raised is the way to go!) ... show more

It dissolves really well with warm water and the texture comes out smooth and creamy—just like fresh milk. My little one loves the taste and drinks it without any hesitation. I also appreciate that it’s USDA Organic, non-GMO, and has added vitamins A & D and calcium, which gives me peace of mind knowing it’s nutritious. This dry milk powder is delicious, and actually tastes like milk. Works great for homemade hot chocolate mixes. Powder was not clumped at all, and comes in a nice can with a good lid. The only downside is that you need a lot of powder to mix up the milk correctly - I used the recommended amount in my hot chocolate mix recipe, and then ended up adding a few extra spoonfuls to my cup when I mixed it up, for extra creaminess. ... show more
